    See this >>>>>>>>>

    thats how much I care.

its not the actress that's important - it's the quality of the script - which has been sadly lacking for about 10 years.

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

I find it amusing that in a fictional universe that has time travel, re-generation and aliens that the lead character being female for the first time has caused such uproar amongst fans for being stupid and not right 🤣🤣🤣

How many other well-known, well-established sci-fi characters change gender, then? Did Han Solo become Hannah in one of the Star Wars films, perhaps? Can you think of one?

Are only considering that the whole point is that the character is regenerating and as such allow it to change to a different actor by age, skin colour or indeed sex, which wouldn't be an option in any of the analogies attempted here to oppose the change.

Of course it could be an option. Spock isn't human, for example. He could grow a few more limbs and turn into an arachnid, male or female if the producers of Star Trek had been up for it. But I can't think of an established sci-fi character, of any species, that changes gender. Got anything?

And as a side note, the authors did not hesitate to have female vulcans in different Star Trek franchises (T'Pol and Saavik, the first being in the same role as Spock).

I'm not sure it should be a 'female' taking on the role...if TFL's new gender neutral approach on the London Underground is anything to go on:

    C'mon OP, have two hearts!

I was hoping deep down that the new Dr Who would be played by Benjamin Zephaniah. Not for political correctness, but because he's funky as hell!
I was also rooting for Mina Anwar, again for the same reasons....

Neither were in the running of course, just my fantasy.
