Iain, I know you are a good guy but IMO, if they can manage to ask for tickets they can bloody well manage to pay for them without you having to chase them, you have done over and above mate. Pull them out of the raffle, don't bother with pm's you have raised a vast amount without them.

People who requested tickets didn't pay in time, so we were 'short' in the sense of pledged money (rather than actual).

Good luck to everyone involved with this. Unbelievable that so many failed to pay though, shame.

224 tickets at my last seen count £11,200 in total, some have not paid, so the money value of the pot is decreased now

Give me a wee while as I now need to separate 217 tickets and mix them up
then drag Mrs Maseman away from the tv to do the draw.

    Good luck everybody !!

Thanks for all the effort you have put into this and I can't say I'm not looking forward to this!

Hi all, Paul's son Jack here again.
I honestly feel lost for words. Here goes, anyway...

Firstly, sorry for the delayed response - I've been very busy and life has had to go on, despite the time we all need.
Reading through the two threads has been very emotional for me - thank you so so much for all of your kind words; I read and felt every single one.
We really weren't expecting this kind of response, and I can truly say that I am completely floored by all of your genorosity and kindness. It is quite staggering!

Maseman is a star. I can't express how grateful I am to him for organising this whole thing. He's going to call me to speak about what to do specifically with the money, but I'm certain that all the extra will go to the Thames hospice fund, the Macmillan nurses, and the Cupfound (Cancer of Unknown Primary a Foundation). It will do more good there than with us.

The watch too, should go to someone who will use and cherish it. It's so specialised I feel like it would be wasted on me! It should live on with someone else, being used as it should be, the way it wouldn't have been able to with my father. I don't know who that is yet but good luck to you, you deserve it. :)

Thank you all so very much.
    Jack

    Jack,
Thanks for taking the time to write so eloquently. I think we all regard Maseman is a star as well. I don't think any of us here will forget Paul, and I'm sure that the watch will be appreciated in the way that your father wanted to himself.

Condolences and best wishes for the future to you and your family.

    Good luck!

    Hi Jack!
It was genuinely our pleasure and was a fitting send off to a fellow WIS!!!

Good luck in the future and know that this has affected quite a few people and like myself made them realise that life is precious and maybe too short sometimes but it's what you do and who you meet along that journey that counts!!

What's happened to this thread? Is the raffle done?

I dug up the other thread but that seems to have stopped too.
