    a pair of CWC

Firstly, my apologies for not posting a hello earlier (in my defence I have been viewing threads often), should i be banned? :?

Here are my two newest purchases, quite familiar to you I'm sure.

I have to say that I'm very happy with them, especially the 70's chrono re-issue which is running 5 secs per 24 hrs fast.

    Cheers

Yeah that is the price they quoted  , but on their internet shop they have a "best offer", you should get £30-£40 off, and if you are in the military and they send it to a military address (inc married quarters) you also get a further 10% discount.

I chose this version as opposed to a vintage model because I wanted the backup of a 3 year warranty and the availability of parts if needed, there is the added bonus that this model is a limited run of 500 pieces.

found them on ebay theres a few with best offer

i did it once, before start low and work up to the price they have in mind

just to be realy cheeky ive offered £100 you never know...... .

in truth silvermans have allways charged more than others but they do balance that with good service

have you ever been over to the shop?i did once years ago it was a small counter like in a barrack store...

what is the differance besides the dial placement and price of this one they sell?

Re Silvermans allways got 10% discount. Used them for years , not the cheapest but a service is second to none. Cant fault them.

Does anyone know if the other 2 mechanical chronos were ever issued or just procured to replace the original. CWC/Newark/Hamilton chrono and were beaten to the contract by the 1st gen Seiko?

Do like the reissue model but a bit overpriced?

    Cheers

I think the answer to that is no. No chronos, including the quartz ones, have been issued. Seiko got all the orders for chronos. That puts them in a similar situation to Eddies PRS17Q & 18Q - NATO stock numbers, but no issue numbers.

My military-contract-only quartz chrono does not have issue numbers:
