Who cares? Personally, I'm Doxa'd out. What we need is a "Doxa ignore button". ;)
People want to buy them. Fine. They know who they are dealing with. Fine. Have fun.
Best wishes,
Bob

Bunch of asshats!
Following the Doxa-posts could be very good for upcoming politicians, they can learn how to tell bullshit without blinking an eye...

After the last Doxa fiasco we witnessed ... I am surprised people still persist that they make good watches. They are nothing more than overpriced ‘Accutron’ ... if you get my drift ...

Every watch a story.
I've got a Doxa and like it, I'd probably have another. Got no time for their attitude as often displayed though. Hey ho.

Well, this makes nice reading for a change :D .
I'll never post on a forum regulated by the brand itself, nor buy a watch from them.
If you stand behind your product, this sort of nonsense is absolutely not done.
Do you see Rolex or Omega slagging their customers off in public???
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
if only zeno would expand their doxa look a like's to include pancake cases and the right hands, prefer decomp times in mtrs anyway, who still uses ft other than doxa? If chinese case makers offered a 4' oclock crown 300t i'd be happy.
That Doxa is an awful looking thing, IMHO. 8)

I once had a brand new Seamaster Pro fill up with water (literally!!!!!)
The watch went back to Bienne (naturally), it was one of the first and there had been a serious error in putting it together. I recieved a letter telling me how sorry they were, it was a plain stupid human mistake and they gave me a new watch that was specially tested to be sure that it had no problem whatsoever.
That kind of things are great: clearly telling: we did something wrong, it's our fault and we will correct it ASAP.
I don't like the current way Omega is taking, but they never told me the load of b*llshit some makers seem to tell nowadays...
There won't be a Doxa lookalike from Zeno as Eddie has no plans of doing one :twisted:Originally Posted by wali

I just posted this over there and it'll be gone within the hour so a copy here if anyone is interested -
"We researched further and found out that you are not a returning customer, but had someone, I wont mention names here (who is leading this bash party against DOXA, for some old personal reasons) buy the watch for you, at the returning customer price."
Above is a quote from Doxa posted over on the WUS dive watch forum in result of the outpouring of negative feelings on the new T-Graph.
First, i GRANITEQUARRY am the member mentioned here who ordered this watch, in fact i ordered two for this gentleman and another for a second party so THREE new watches ordered from Doxa. The buyers were not keen to pay full retail so it was this or buy a used watch - out of friendship for my forum mates and support for Doxa i generated three extra sales AT NO PROFIT TO ME yet i'm classed as betraying Doxa.
Second, am i leading this attack? I gave my opinion on this like 20 other forum members, many of whom i note are longstanding regular posters showing their anger at what has occured this week. I am pleased to have been able to voice my opinion along with the others without the posts being edited or deleted as ALWAYS happens here. And yes i expect this to be wiped too within the hour.
For the record i have had numerous run-ins with Rick Marei and NEVER got any sensible discussion, it is only ever excuses and bla-bla about company policy. You will probably have noticed i have not posted much here after the 2007 Edition TG episode a couple months ago, that ended with intense correspondence with Rick but was never resolved to my satisfaction. I received NO apology for the insulting comments he publically made about me. This accusation made against me today, well what can i say...
I am ashamed that i spent so long supporting this brand, and embarasssed to say that i personally gave $10k of business to this company.
And so i bid you all farewell - see you on the other forums guys.
Cheers,
David.

So, you see, never buy a watch you can't first handle in person in a shop :D :D :D .
PS, I'm loving my new PRS50.

Wow, first let me say I really like this new format! Well done Eddie!
Second, please accept my apologies for not being a usual positive contributing member. I still love you all! As a few of you know, I have just had my third back surgery, and this sitting thing is not comfortable yet! But, no worried mates. I am fine, and no well wishes, or get better please, I am use to these things by now.
I just wanted people to know that I had notthing to do with what happened, just in case somone wanted to throw my name in!
David, I feel for you as we say here in the US, you of all have really put your heart soul and money in. But, do not let this get you down my friend!
John
No surprises here I guess. A tiger cannot get rid of it´s stripes no matter how hard it tries. The earlier Doxa fiasco made me decide that I would never buy a Doxa. This incident just forces the issue.
Morons
Bring back "The UNOFFICIAL Doxa Forum", I say.
Did they ever answer the simple question - what is the address of their production facility in Switzerland?
No, please don't :shock:Originally Posted by Seamaster73

Wikipedia:
"Doxa"
Doxa (????) is a Greek word meaning common belief or popular opinion
or:
A newly found old watch brand, with a small office and administrative department in Biel Switzerland, that tries endlessly, supercilious and overconfident to sell their glorious past history and achievements in every colorful way, with overinflated prices and no other motive than profit at any cost, no matter what, to an audience that slowly but surely looses its positive "Doxa" in Doxa.
Doxa (glory) in Greek is a short-lived phenomenon. You cannot bathe in glory everyday of your life ... it is something you pass on.Originally Posted by Dibetu

Haven't had cause to interact with it. Enough bad stories to worry me, though. The marketing guff they come out with sometimes I just ignore. Frankly, I bought my Doxa pre-owned, and that's how I'd buy again (I think they're a bit pricey new).Originally Posted by abraxas

Interesting how that seems to recur over there. Sort of reminds me of Bill Murray's film "Groundhog Day".

Jaysus, read the whole thread in disbelief, don't understand how any company can treat it's customers that way ..

Hopefully that seller would have much better service than Doxa themselves.
Had a look at some of their suggested retail prices and I really don't think they have reached the price tier of Rolex-Omega-Breitling. The latter three have much better CS to start with and better QC.
Several have immigrated to the Dive Forum.
some great underwater pics in the doxa forum

Wow, another Doxa blow up... sorry to hear it involves 2 of the members here :(
lets hope the new TG is relaible... its one thing not being happy with a dial print, but the continual sending back and forth of the old TGs was tiresome...
Posting on a brand forum is always tricky. Remember Anonimo
Doxa was a good company many years ago. They introduced some interesting pieces like this one:
It has the Chezard 117 jump second movement with a sweep second stop that was operated by depressing the crown. Sun and Moon point to the hour market (24 hour dial).
I liked their dive watch line because of it's unique look when they were released over 30 years ago.
I miss the innovation.

Very interesting watch Dave. 8)
I prefer Alpha, they are much cheaper
At the risk of being flamed, I feel I need to post on some of the comments flying around...
I have owned a 750T - I sold it this week, but only because I need the cash. I have had actual personal experience with the Doxa aftersales customer service and with their factory/assembly point/whatever it is in Switzerland.
I am by no means condoning their treatment of the issue under discussion, but I would like to say that in my case, the customer service was exemplary - they were helpful, they understood the issue I was having and they moved swiftly to accommodate my needs.
The watch was sent to Bienne, in Switzerland. I know, because I sent it. It was returned from Bienne, in Switzerland after 3 weeks in perfect condition.
Would I buy another Doxa?
Yes, I would.
Thanks.
It's odd about the Doxa customer service. It seems to be that when it's good it's very good, but likewise when it's bad it's very bad. The inconsistency is the worry, I think.

I can believe how Doxa has treated their customers:shock: compared to the likes of Eddie
At the end of the day, there are plenty of watch brands out there, so you pays your money and makes your choice 8)
Just my take on this,
Owned a few Doxa's in the past OK watch especially pre owned asking price unless it is a "Returnee" special is OTT in MO,just found them to "Blingy" and the Military way overpriced, when i had occaison to deal with customer service i had no problems.
Now do i want to see a repeat of the previous Doxa doings? no i bloody do not let the guys on the WUS Doxa forum get on with it and if anybody from this forum is intrested in joining in the cat fight do it over there.
Just my 2p/c
Martin
