By the sounds of it this seems to be by far the most popular of the new releases (mine too). Better to be safe than sorry and get your name down.
Well I will be getting one of these!
Rolex most complicated watch now in steel with a white gold bezel for £10k
As ridiculous as this sounds I think it's decent value
Wonder if it's worth putting my name on a list. Can't decide if these will be high in demand or readily available

They're bloody great value in the context of Rolex and the watch industry in general. £10k for a premium annual calendar with a unique movement. I'lol go for at least one of them.
I'm certainly interested in this one as well, but worry about the size- 42mm and wears large apparently. Need to try one on!
Not my thing TBH.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
I bought a WG Skydweller on strap and sold it within a month
Try one in before commiting wears big and shiny.
I'm still thinking about a steel one though on a bracelet :-)
Cheers
I quite like them. Was there an option for a strap instead of bracelet (out of interest)?
This is the best thing from Baselworld so far for me. I might get a white dial, will need to try one on though as I have gone off big watches.
They're certainly a bit different, I like the blue one.
The original, only in gold just seemed a huge amount of money, so the steel certainly brings it down to a level that might be worth considering.
It’s not a watch that I have ever really paid much attention to - how does it work? What’s the red marker at 8?
I think the blue takes it for me. I suspect they will be difficult to come by initially, and therefore retain decent value (again initially), so may be worth a punt
If I had to choose between one of the these and the new SD then put me down for the one with the blue dial :)
Black one is amazing and the blue not far behind. The pick of the Basel bunch and something I'd seriously consider if it weren't for the size.
I have placed an order from my AD, did originally have a Dj blue I was thinking about but the skydwellwr nailed it. Ordered a blue but do like the black also. It's an amazing amount of watch for the money.

I have just put my name down for the Blue one.
I've got no experience of ordering a brand new Rolex before. How long do these new releases take to filter through?
Didn't the AD you ordered through give you an indication ?
I'd guess September time but that is nothing more than a guess really.
i like the blue and the black but going to have a hard time deciding between the two. prob definitely on the list to buy at some point, but wait to see them in person. it does appear that they are reusing the datejust II parts though
I'm also worried about the size, so it'd be good to try them on first. The blue and black look very nice on the pictures, I wonder how are them in reality.
No he said he didn't know yet.
September would be good as it will give me some time to pay for it!
I had thought it might be longer as I reckon this might be a pretty popular model and having never bought a watch from them I probably wont end up at the top of the list!
Love these but would have to see one in the flesh but could see a blue one making it's way to me.
I never worry about the stated size as my 42mm Explorer 11 wears better than some other Rolex watches i have owned that were 40mm because it's depth is not as much as say a SD4000.
Ill be buying that blue dial one for sure.
All 3 of these are really nice. I like the black one in particular.
Extremely good value for money IMHO.
I agree that £10K looks like a bargain for such a complicated Rolex. That fact that they are available in steel means their most complicated watch just became almost attainable. I'll need to try on on for size though. 42mm is probably overwhelming. My vote is for a blue one.
The Skydweller is utterly outstanding in the new releases, in many ways its a real shame that they didn't keep the watch as a high end travellers piece but it means the masses can benefit now from this beauty.
The only thing to factor in with this is the servicing/repair costs which are cheeky from experience but thats not an issue for the next 5 years+ so stand easy and get one on
RIAC
Is this rolex's first annual calendar? I assume the day date isn't one with that complication?
Really like the new range of movements. A full day of power reserve.
Would be nice to see a display back on more of rolexes though.

I'm surprised how many people are putting names down to buy this watch without even trying it on... Personally I think its a bit OTT and ugly
I love it. No doubt I will add one at side stage. It could be a very nice every day watch.
It's just a matter of time...
I've got my name down for this and the new SD doesn't mean I'm buying either, I'll make that decision once on my wrist but it doesn't hurt to register interest especially if either become popular.
Also Neil (AK797) pointed out UK vs US pricing which shows we are still a very attractive place to buy for travellers so demand could be an issue.
Beautiful watch and may be my first Rolex if I can find one. I normally prefer black dial but I think blue dial has the edge for this one

i agree the blue dial is lovely. made me think do i save up extra and wait for one of these or still try get a BLNR
really like the white dial, have tried on a gold one before and its a big watch, so am going to have to see it in steel before i could decide.
I'm hoping it absolutely tanks and doesn't sell. Then gets forgotten about and I bump into one at a massive discount on the grey market in Asia in a couple of years time. I'll live in hope anyway.
Does anyone know what is the EUR price? I was wondering if the exchange rate difference was already adjusted on the new 2017 models...
Asked the wife what her favourite release from Basel was and she said the SkyDweller in bi-metal and gold dial. I think she's right - lovely watch.
TT with black dial, I'm liking it!
