Hi Robbyman
Plenty of bling and I am sure that many will like it. Not for me though, just too fussy.

This could be my next purchase but my wife thinks it is hideous.
I do really like Breitling, I am a fan of busy dials, I like the slide rule etc and I go weak for a red bezel.
Honest views sort.....

I couldn't live with the red bezel, personally.
It looks at odds with the rest of the watch!
In fact it almost looks like a bezel protector!
Maybe it looks better first hand...?
M.
What is the model number of that one?
Terrible and I like Breitlings. The size of the bezel and inner bezels is far to big compared to the size of the actual watch face. Plus the red bezel looks awful, maybe with a black bezel it would not be so bad

Thanks guys, the response I expected but I am drawn to it for some reason. Not sure of the model number but it is a Skyracer Raven.

Now if it had white sub-dials, it'd be perfect! Yes, I like busy dials as well!
That bezel would put me right off, that's my least favourite strap option as well but easily changed.
Naah, you will look at it and wish it were a Rolex:-)
Can`t do with the slide rule thing on watches, can`t do with red bezels......not for me but I don`t think I`m the target market. At the Age of 59 I`d look a bit of a clown wearing that. Being Breitling I`m sure it's superbly made, they do build the watches well but I`ve yet to find one that I'd buy.

Not for me I'm afraid, I used to be a bit of a Breitlng nut and owned quite a few but to me they lost there way aesthetically. I have no doubt they are still well made but just not for me.
Busier than a one legged man in an arse kinking contest.

I don't like it personally. Your wife is right.
No offence but i think the bezel is making that model look cheap.
I would side with your wife on this occasion!
I've owned a few Breits in my time but wouldn't go for this.
After a bit of research. Seems that model came in various colours. Not sure the red is to my taste but the green version might have been. Black bezel would have been more traditional. I do like those slide rules - same design as on the B-1: a design classic.

I am a Breitling enthusiast and currently own three. Two are Avengers (a Skyland chrono and a Seawolf) and the third is a Navitimer World (so no-one can say I don't like busy dials), but I think that's the least attractive Breitling I've ever seen.
It's got nothing to do with busyness (I think Navitimer dials are beautiful), and it's not that it has a red bezel (I think the Black Bay Red and that Longines both look fantastic). No, the issue for me is that it looks as if elements from about 4 different unrelated Breitlings have been randomly glued together, the bezel looks cheap and out of place, the red hands are cheap-looking and the pushers look all wrong for a Breitling. I agree with another poster that the Ocean Racer strap also does it no favours.
Sorry OP, you did ask...
Simon
Certainly not a classic and you would be right on the cheap looking front. I've actually handled one of these and it's fair to say that my opinion is that they are not that well made. The AD dealer in Dublin has had this in the window for several years and without a massive discount on offer it will remain there for some time yet, and with good reason.
Dont mind a busy dial a bit, but that is definitly a bit much for me, the red bezel looks like it came from another watch, the black one looks better but not great, and then there is the Longines,,,,,,, stunning, i have had a longing for one for some time now.
My Mrs agrees with your Mrs!!!!
Not for me, but the important thing is do YOU like it. It's your wrist it's going on.
Never let age get in the way of a bad decision. I'm 48 and I've never let age sway my decisions. Tho this is the last time I wear a viking helmet, clogs and a tutu to work.
As for the watch, unfortunately it looks like it was dipped in glue and dropped in the parts drawer. Sorry.
If you like it, crack away!
Personally, I'd rather slam my testicles in a car door than wear that but everyone's different.
My opinion is sometimes less is more.
If it's what you want though pull the trigger, it'll certainly be more unique that other stuff out there.
To me the Longines looks way better :-)

It reminds me of the Speedmaster Alaska with the armoured casing fitted.
I like it, looks like it has a purpose as an actually timing reference. Not a watch for wearing around an office though without looking absurd.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to side with your wife as well, I just can't handle such busy dials. Then again there's only one Breitling I like and that's the Superocean Heritage.
It's a busy looking timepiece. Looks a bit like a pizza though?
Not my cup of tea but then again I probably only like a couple of Brietling's current offerings so my opinion is pretty worthless in this case. I think it you buy it then its a keeper (might be a hard one to flip without taking a huge bath on it).
I agree with your wife. It's the red bezel that puts me off.
A few more....
It has all the élan of a Chinese fake.
Maybe it looks better in the hand. The pictures suggest it's one to avoid.
