    <40mm watches in your collection

Hello gentleman (and perhaps some women). I'm always on the lookout for smaller watches since my wrist is really tiny. I haven't seen a recent thread on it so I thought it'd be nice to see photos of smaller watches around the community? Potato shots are welcomed too

No photo as the watch is in another country right now but I have, and worse for ages, the Seiko 5 SNK803K2 in beige. According to the specs this watch is 37mm but wears absolutely tiny! In the end I decided it was too small and it found less time on the wrist.

Still love it on paper and in my mind. The looks probably aren't too all but... auto, accurate, day, date, waterproof, lovely second hand sweep, nice case, comes on a fabric strap, display back, will happily take a knock...

You can pick them up for about £60 nowadays. I paid £35 from memory. Staggering value.

    Note: Not my photo

I only have the one, which was bought as a bit of fun as my surname is Hilton. It is 34mm and far too small for me to wear. My sweet spot is 40mm - 42mm having 7" wrists. I suspect a lot of responses will be vintage watches. I have had a Speedmaster Automatic which was 38mm and a Seiko the same size and sold both as I thought they were both too small. Wouldn't go below 40mm now.

Should we presume you just mean modern, currently available watches?

    My sole modern sub-40mm watch:

6.5'' wrist, 38mm Max Bill auto

The OP did say smaller watches in the community - no age restrictions added.

I have quite a few sub 40mm watches in the collection. I quite like to wear the smaller sizes for a change. I normally wear 40mm+ watches.
Here are a few of mine.

Rolex Air-King-Date I think is 35mm. Small but sweet.

I just have 2 sub-40mm; as it happens, they are my most expensive watches - the 39mm Lange & Sohne 1815 up/down (RG) and the 37mm Breguet Tradition 7027 (YG) :-

    upload a gif

We should have my dad (sadly missed) 34 mm Centaur with nice long lugs so it works for me.

35mm Connie hidden crown and I'd guess a 35mm CWC, followed by a 36mn Baby Plofrof.

I wear em along with my 42mm watches.

I like 'em smaller than "normal", all these are 32-34mm.

I love a 'small' watch thread!

The Grand Seiko SBGR095 is my current favourite:

There are some cracking examples in this thread too:

I wear watches of all sizes. We are hooked on images of watches covering the whole wrist. For the majority of the history watches have been smaller on the wrist. To me it's only like seeing hipsters wearing shorter length trousers than standard. Before you know it. It becomes the norm. See no issue at all in a bit of wrist poking out the sides.

Larger than average wrists at almost 8".
I love seeing those skinny wrists showing off their 46mm.+ Panerais and Invictas, it reminds me of little kids shuffling around in their mam's/dad's shoes.

Thats teh biggest in my collection at the moment! I have a real love of 36-40mm watches and quite small wrists. I will dig out some pictures of my 36 Royal Oak and Oysterquartz daydate shortly.

One would struggle to find a divers watch of that size nowadays... I think this is 36mm from memory. It has a really lovely dial.

EDIT: not sure why the images appear rotated, they are the right way round in my dropbox! Sorry...

This is my only sub-40mm watch and embarrassingly I've probably worn it less than 10 times since 2011.

The only sub 40mm watch I have though I keep looking at a white dialled Globemaster or a Rolex OP to keep it company.

My favourite size is 36-39mm, and most of my watches are. It's limiting when you're trying to find modern chronographs, here's one.

The only exception made to a sub 40mm watch case size.....because I like Zenith as a manufacturer and there really isn't anything to match a bit of 'mango'!
