You jammy b*stard! I was giving that one serious consideration! : /
Congratulations- that is the best of the Offshores. The best dial and IMO the best metal.
I'm genuinely envious.
So after many years wanting one I finally pulled the trigger on an AP...
It was the day before my honeymoon catching up on some work before going away and the watchfinder sale drops into my inbox...after a quick exchange and agreement on a px value for my zenith, the titanium AP ROO was mine..
I was concerned it would be too big (it probably is but I don't care...) and am surprised by how light and wearable it actually is.
I was also concerned it was the old style dial design when I preferred the new style...however after having it a few days now it's really grown on me and I'm starting to prefer its subtleties. I like the way the sub dials don't really stand out that much and the fact there is no numbers. Although I do prefer the mega tappiserie dials of the newer models.
So overall extremely pleased and can't see this one moving on anytime soon

Lovely watch!
I keep looking at these but understand the newer models have ceramic pushers which are a little more durable, so I need to keep saving..
Cheers guys, I'm really impressed with the titanium, lovely colour to it and nice and light obviously
Although I am tempted with an AP bands conversion onto a nice hornback type strap at some point...
That's a cracker, probably my favourite AP. Enjoy it!
Very nice, congratulations, I prefer that to the more modern versions.
Congrats - not for me but really glad you're enjoying it
Congrats....absolutely beautiful.
Again congrats, lovely watch.
Cracking arrival - enjoy!
Looks a chunk, what size is it

I love the pushers are they satin finish? It looks like it from the pic but not seen one in the flesh before.
Good catch!
I wonder what's the going rate for a movement-only service these days...
Anyone can chime in?
Dan
Been looking at these on chrono 24 tonight, wondering wether it's worth chopping the collection in for one watch

Congratulations, brilliant watch, and who cares about details like the service cost. Enjoy!
FYI: Full service for my Patek 5146J was £950 back end of last year. I had the crystal changed as recommended, not mandatory and £300 for new strap. £1450 all in, including polish. Should keep it going for another 8 years or so.
Consider that a full service on my X-33 was near on £650 for a quartz movement I reckon it's fairly good value.
But I agree we have a strange habit - and we've bought into it big time.
Loving that AP OP!

So Patek charge £150 to change a battery.
The joys of service costs....I pick up my Deepsea Blue this weekend coming, my wife's oyster perpetual date and my mother's perpetual- £1600 all in. Not bad when compared to some of the more horological estimates quoted in the thread though.

Grand Complication - estimate = blank cheque!
Very nice!
I think the titanium is the way forward. Had a steel new 42mm but it was way too heavy and felt like weights on my wrist. Love this version, good one!!!
In the past, I have not been charged anything by VC for an estimate whether I proceeded to get the work done or not. This is the first time that I have ever heard of such a thing!
Surely they make enough profit out of the ones that proceed to cover the costs of the minority who don't? It is a little bit like me charging clients for the costs of tendering when I am unsuccessful....
Not exactly the same – AP’s charges (in CHF, sans the 8% VAT)
Lovely, congrats.
