I'm a bugger for lurking and not contributing. Recently I took the plunge on a new Speedmaster Professional "Tin Tin" from Chronext. To say I'm smitten is an understatement.

Look what the cat dragged in...
A nice sturdy box from the eBay dealer, who is clearly a cat lover.
Thought I'd make use of the current 15% off code (MHD16)
My first Speedy. Absolutely love it!
This arrived today never realised how flat the crystal is on these, and the micro adjustment on the bracelet as saved me from removing a link, different to the one I had on the dssd but works well all the same

Received from Martin today:
Just arrived courtesy of Onelasttime - Tutima 1941.
I was worried about this - 38.7mm is not a big watch, in objective terms, but it looks pretty cool on the wrist ...
Nice on the Pav cordovan as well.
Bit of a Franken as the dial is not original to the watch (standard sapphire sandwich) but this has certainly stopped my craving for a white dial ceramic Daytona!
Thats lovely Ben, where d'you pick that up?
Gerlach 'Seikosha Tokkotai', a replica of the WWII Seikosha Divine wind Kamikaze pilots watch.
Tokkatai means to leave, and never return in Japanese.
The watch contains a Seiko NH35 auto, hackable movement. These were made for the Spanish 'Para Club Okies Seiko' in a limited edition of 150 . Mine is 36/150.
I ordered this one about 6 months ago and it arrived on Wednesday
The company is based in Wroclaw, Poland which is we're my other half was born.
Maybe another incoming next week, which also has a link to Poland.

$155 of Korean hand wound rose gold effect Tisell loveliness.
I was told delivery would be between 9 & 1pm today......anyway the postie arrives at 10:45am
a lot of unwrapping to get through.....
Now we are getting somewhere....
Can you guess what it is yet?
Finally...................
Well pleased with this one got it at a great price (managed to get it down to the price I was prepared to pay). Watchfinder were excellent, I've even got their one year warranty.
Sorry about all the photo's, as you can probably tell I'm just a tad pleased right now.
SRP787 Turtle 'Batman' from watcheszon.com, 5 days from Singapore to UK using their free P&P option, no customs charges and perfectly aligned bezel and chapter ring, phew
Tisell arrived today - $155 worth of Korean fine watchmaking. Felt the need for some rose gold and roman numerals in the collection.
I really like the layout and at this price point I'm pleasantly surprised at the build quality. It has a display back with blue screws, jewels and geneva stripes on the back plates. Handwinding, so not rotor to get in the way, still the movement and watch are quite thick.
^^^^can't quite read the serial number on the back - when is it from?
I've wanted one of these for a while now, finally got one today.
Yesterday was my tenth wedding anniversary, and there was a small box from Mrs Wolff for me..
Blown away, speechless. I couldn't eat my brecky!
A full set 1991 14060 from a reputable dealer in Norwich (who you probably all know).
To say I'm pleased might be understating it a bit.

I would have loved a vintage piece such as a 2525 or 2526 but my concerns with buying and servicing costs sadly far out weighed the beauty of them.
And this freshly serviced, exactly the preferred choice of metal and just within budget was an opportunity not to be missed

Well, just come back from AD with my new watch. I was on the waiting list for a BLNR and/or a Hulk but given the Great British public have decided to flush the toilet I've decided to pull the trigger so to speak, on this...
I'd like to take some better pictures and a few more of my collecting leading up to this (Some Seikos and Orients). Here's hoping to a huge price hike on Monday, then! As suggested by my AD, one is imminent but of course the phrase pinch of salt can be applied here.
Ok, it's a boring and predictable choice!
Nice watch though.
Hope this is ok to ask here as it does relate to a new arrival!Just noticed that my brand new UK AD supplied SubC Date didn't come with the bezel protector. Not an issue, clearly been left off in the shop but I will be asking for it to make the full set. Should there also be a polishing cloth supplied as I didn't get one of those either.
Apparently Rolez no longer supply polishing cloths. Tsk. This country!
My first chrono....from nitsy of this parish. Sorry about the poor 'phone picture.
