The 2254 but it needs the end trimming down
OK I have been stupid and succumbed to Omega's marketing and purx=chased one of their insanely expensive NATOs, the classic Bond NATO. To be fair it is much better than the cheap £10 jobbies I have brought in the past. It is silky smooth and the finishing of the metal work is very good and the sealing of the seams is robust and smooth.
Rationally I know they are not worth the 14x premium but this was an emotional decision so please forgive me as we know this hobby is not in any way rational!
Anyway, I have tried this on my SMP and Speedy and thought it would be interesting to hear other peoples opinions on which watch suits the strap the best. Personally I am leaning towards the Speedy!
What I do like is that the watch sits quite low compared to some of my other NATOs

Oh that is me rushing and not pulling the end down properly!
Thanks for your answer.
Speedy.
I don't think the case shape of the smp suits anything other than bracelet or its rubber.
It's a tough call but since I don't have a speedy now. I will go for 2254. I know I'm bias since I own 2254
Speedy, looks great. Doesn't suit the Seamaster at all IMO.
Question - Is the strap a tight fit between the lugs (looks it). I have a Co-axial Speedy with 21mm lugs and am considering one of these but don't want an obvious gap at this price point.
Speedy suits the NATO more in my opinion.
Speedy definitely altho' the Co-Ax 300m recently in SC looked nuclear on the Omega Bond Nato
Both look great but the Speedy pips it imo. Haven't acquired a Bond nato. Yet..
Jon
I am not a Nato fan but the Speedy gets my vote.
Speedy for me. It seems to accentuate the angular edges of the seamaster bezel
I have one of these on order (and I also...ahem..bought a black Omega Nato) so I too am guilty. I think it suits the Speedy better, something looks a bit angular on the SMP - I think it accentuates the hands, but just my opinion.
I also use man maths to rationalise that a nice watch deserves a nice (read expensive) strap. A bit like if Emily Blunt turned up to our first date in a Kappa shell suit.

Speedy for me.
Speedmaster.
Speedmaster while it's still new and crisp, Seamaster once it's looking more worn
Neither they both look their best on their correct bracelet ,NATO you have just wasted your money
Looks good on both.
"To be fair it is much better than the cheap £10 jobbies I have brought in the past. It is silky smooth and the finishing of the metal work is very good and the sealing of the seams is robust and smooth", he said, as he took a long deep drink of the Kool-aid.
Well, just kidding. A little. I suppose if I'd dropped that kind of coin on a NATO, I'd be trying to rationalize it, too. To anwser your question, I like the Seamaster. I suppose it's because I don't see that match up fifty times a day on watch forums, like you do with Speedies.
SM300 looked great on one of Eddies Natos...
But was really comfortable on a GGB.....
Speedy all the way, but then mine is wearing a Nato at the moment so every so slightly biased
I'm going with the SMP as i'm not so crazy about speedies on nato's.
As has been mentioned you could have trimmed the nato to fit & give a cleaner look. I've taken to removing the the Y tail off the straps & then shortening the total length to prevent the classic tail fold & have been a lot happier with my nato usage ever since.
It's got to be the speedy, looks very smart....he said as he searches eBay for a speedmaster lol 🙈🙈🙈
Speedmaster all day long
Sppedmaster
