I think that this is key. You must formally reject the watch within the 14 days allowed by the Consumer Rights Directive (the Distance Selling Regulations no longer exist). If it were me, I'd send a letter by a Signed-For method, preferably on your lawyer's headed paper.

I see that you have also raised a claim through your Credit Card provider - hopefully you may find that this leads to action.

Return it fast. It does not look right by any means and I am not an expert :).

Send back watch with insured shipment and do charge back if you do not get money. 14 days rule is very nice for distant selling regulations.

Terrible re-lume, and is the hour hand dodgy too? It just doesn't look right.

I once had an Artego diver that suffered water ingress due to a failed gasket.

After all the condensation had cleared a week or so later, the lume looked exactly like the lume on that GMT - all fluffy and soft. The rest of the dial was absolutely fine.

Maybe not a bad relume but moisture damage? Either way, the law is with you on this one and unless he recorded the conversation about the strap change, deny all knowledge of it and demand your refund.

    Good luck!

They look like they've been painted white, might just be the pics?

Those hands just look wrong. The hour, minute and second hands look like they're covered in limescale and the lume does not match whereas the GMT hand centre is still nice and polished.

My best guess would be Tipex, heaven knows it could be limescale.
