Omega Speedmaster professional at 30. Rolex Explorer at 40 and lots of cheaper offerings in between.
First luxury watch (Omega SMP) at 35, first Rolex (1680) at 38.
I no longer own either of them!

Assuming a Hamilton qualifies, 28. Otherwise just a couple of months ago, 34. The problem is that scratching the itch makes you more itchy!
22 - Breitling Seawolf from here and then my Submariner Ceramic from my local AD before they stopped selling Rolex. 5 years ago now.

18, a Tag Heuer F1 with my first full time salary! I still have it, though don't wear it. My first Rolex at 30/31 and I've had a handful since plus Omega/IWC/JLC and others Inbetweeners. Currently have an Omega, Bremont and Rolex, plus the Tag, G-shock, Suunto.
One of the early "Bond" Seamasters, aged 25.
Tag auto when I was 18 and the first Rolex a sub date when I was 23.
I bought Tag Heuer Link as my second watch when I was 19 or 20.
When I was 28 or 29 I lost my mind and I now at 32 have ca. 30 watches.
Edit. And yes, I'm still insane and looking to buy more.

Breitling Colt in the mid nineties when I was 32. Bought it because at the time there seemed to be so many fake Rolex and TAGs around, so I wanted a watch that didn't raise the question.
Still have the Colt and only regret not spending the extra back then for a Rolex.
Really only caught the watch bug a few years ago, now all manner of timepieces are on my Radar.
First Rolex at 33. A pre-owned Submariner.
It felt like a gigantic decision at the time but have never had any regrets.
Tag Carrera Chrono when I was about 26 and knew very little; then first Panerai at about 33 and it all got rather expensive thereafter.
Inherited an Omega Seamaster aged about 4 I think, puchased a Tag quartz at 16ish and then first Rolex at 25
Rolex explorer 2 white dial at 27....bought and sold many since...
I was 19 when I bought a Tag Heuer 2000 chrono. Picked it up in Australia for less than half the UK price, so I was pretty pleased with myself!
Breitling Superocean 1000m with blue dial with my first ever pay packet and at Geneva airport - so around 97ish. Making me 23 or so.
Followed by a (TAG) Heuer Monza, vintage Speedmaster Pro and finally a Rolex Explorer all within the following couple of years. Those 4 were actually a superb selection covering all the bases for me.
Not sure why but after that it went mental...
A Tissot quartz when I was 24, followed by a Chronoswiss Kairos at 28 (which I still own today, even if mostly worn by my wife).
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
At 15 years of age I worked for 8 months and saved up 1300 old Irish punts and bought the James Bond Omega Seamaster. The list is quite big but Omega Seamaster,Seamater Co-Axial, Planet Ocean (X 2), Breitling Navitmer, Graham Swordfirsh, all before I was 25. Then Bell & Ross BR 02 92 Phantom, Omega Speedmaster 44.25mm, Panerai and Bell & Ross BR126 since then. All purchased new bar the Panerai.

First good watch was purchased when I was 30.It was an IWC pilots chronograph .I really liked it but sold it 2 years later ,I wish I still had it.
Early 20's - a Tag Heuer 2000 series auto
Andy
Wanted - Damasko DC57
Christopher Ward at 22
Bremont at 24
So depends what you call luxury.
Forgot to show my first "luxury" watch!
Here it is. And I still have it
After piddling about in the cheaper end of the market for a couple of years I was about 25 when I bought a Tag Heuer F1 (blue) and then a second hand Tag 6000 series within a few weeks of each other - I seem to recall the F1 came first.
Swapped, chopped, bought and sold my way through a lot of the Tag range then into the vintage Omega models which surprisingly (to me) I liked a lot more that the Tags. Eventually bought my first Rolex at about 28 I would say, a second hand Airking, and it lasted about a month before I jumped back into the Omega stuff.
30th birthday present to my self Rolex Kermit. Think I will keep forever.
Never, luckily I would seem to have 10-15 years to do so. Would a Tudor count?
This when I was 39
Tudor Oysterquartz when I was 23. It was a great purchase. No matter that I bought it on Jersey, and that the shop messed up with the bracelet adjustment and wy (me girlfriend, then--and still!--my wife) missed our ferry back to the mainland, and that messed up the whole budget. I've since sold it, which I oughtn't have done.

the first proper watch I bought was a rolex date just bi metal with champagne dial, , was 17 I think,, half my life ago.
I suppose it was a Heuer Monza when I was ~ 30 - I'd got a christmas bonus and blew it on that - then later traded it for an Omega speedy pro
then was made redundant and blew the redundancy money on a Dornblueth (Didn't yet have a mortgage at the time...)
Forgot to add the pic...
My first Omega, out in Miami.... Wear it everyday, tank of a watch!
Lots of '40's here.
I was errr.. 50
Although in my case it wasn't one of those "I need to mark a big birthday" events, but simply the moment when I had some cash to 'invest' in a 'luxury' watch.
I'd not really taken any notice of 'luxury watches' prior to becoming smitten with a Breitling 809 Cosmonaute in a small watch shop window a few years earlier. If I'd known what a slippery slope it was, I never would have looked in that window!
M
I was gifted a TAG Heuer on my 21st by my old boss, it took another 8 years before I purchased an Omega Seamaster Professional, then another 10 years before I bought my first (hopefully) Rolex!
I'd never looked at watches and then I was informed by my wife to be that the in-laws wanted to buy me a watch. I proceeded to WOS in Manchester and duly chose a Rolex Datejust 116200. That's what started me off and I was 31 at the time (2008). Rolex were almost half the price they are now back then!
I was 38 and it was an Omega SMP 2531... That's when I also acquired my addiction... Or should I call it an obsession?!

Mine was also a 2531.80. Got it at 33. I'm hoping to bag my first Rolex at 35, but that's dependant on shifting my current posh watch (Planet Ocean).
25 @ Submariner-Date
Bought a Zenith at 23, but was wearing a Datejust before as it was a gift.
Depends on definition of "luxury watch". To me at the time it was a Maurice Lacroix for my 40th. If that doesn't count, then it would be a JLC Reverso at 48.
I spent a reasonable chunk of my first month's wage on a Tissot some 25 years ago. Well, it was luxury to me... I've bought and sold a good few others since, though my my first true luxury watch was my GS bought a couple of years back when I was 41.
At 17 I bought a Tag Heuer 2000 exclusive series in the Christmas sales followed a few months later by a Rolex Submariner 14060. I briefly dated a girl at school had a Patek Philippe at 18!
I bought a Breitling Quartz at 21, then nothing that I think could be classed as luxury until 39 when I bought my first Omega?
24, bought a lovely 35th Anni Speedy. Got the bug, sold some guitars, bought a Sea Dweller 16600 six months later, followed swiftly by a GMT, 50th LV, Explorer, Day Date, two Subs, another six Speedies... the list goes on. 27 now. Bloody expensive hobby.
Omega PO about 5 years ago so 32 ish I think.
Hoping for an explorer 2 in the next year - so 37 if that comes off...
Good taste my man! Don't think I'd ever sell the omega, marks a certain point in my life, will pass it down no doubt if I ever have kids, the omega and Breitling have been the prelude to the Rolex... Still can decide GMT or Sub.... Real tough decision. ..will start a thread nearer the time! ..
