It is a strange blue, in direct light it does look quite bright and so always looks like that in photos. When in lower light levels, it appears much darker, almost looking like the black section of the bezel!

I kind of agree, but then again it's not strictly a diver, and I suppose Rolex want to differentiate them - but for the consumer it's very frustrating as Easy Link just doesn't compare.
