Best theme tune and opening credits of any Bond film IMHO.

Have to disagree with that :-) .......... I think Goldfinger is the best theme tune!.........in fact it stands alone as a great record too.

Diamonds Are Forever was prob the first "poor" Bond flick. Connery out of retirement and well past it etc.

Pity Lazenby never stuck around for a few more to be honest - def underrated.

    I'd second that!

Did you notice the Connery tattoo cover up?

Actually, Idris Elba is a great call.

Amazing how Las Vegas has changed since that film. It looked like Blackpool prom, but with sunshine instead of rain.

Diamonds are Forever is probably my least favourite Bond film - I could quite easily give it a miss whereas I would watch any of the others over and over again (and have).

Even the Fleming novel was dire and the only one out of the whole series that I stopped reading.

Sadly Idris will not play Bond as he would not want to be 'The first black bond' which is the tag that will stay with him

    Agreed. Those awful camp characters....

I battled through to the end of the book but it was pretty boring.
    Cheers,
