Has anyone put their PRS-82 onto a Toshi, specifically fudge?
If so, any thoughts or pictures?
"I forget who it was that recommended men for their soul's good to do each day two things they disliked ... it is a precept that I have followed scrupulously; for every day I have got up and I have gone to bed."
It's a beautiful watch, I wish Eddie could do interest free credit! :-D
Looks great on the canvas could well be my next purchase nice one .
It does look very good on that one. And so that would be the Maratac U.S. Mil-Series MI-6 (i.e. U.S. issue style w/ single nylon keeper loop in black/grey/maroon "Real Bond" colour)?

Thanks
No, it's like the Maratec one, but i didn't want the PITA of importing from America, it actually came from ebay, the quality is so-so... the heat sealed edges and holes are a little rough, but i liked the buckle!!
It's a lot like the Helenarou one
I keep meaning to buy a nicer strap from some where (prob our host) and transfer the buckle!
EDIT: the Helenrou looks more green in this picture, i'd say my strap is the colour of the maratec one, but with a similar buckle to the helenrou one!

^ Thanks for the explanation on that. Whatever that watchband is, I think your 82 looks very good on it. The Panerai style buckle must give a unique touch to it also
Just been lucky enough to take delivery of one of these this morning ( thanks mate for replying to the WTBand the deal ) and I m well pleased , looks and feels great and I hope to get a few pics done in the morning .
Serial number 135 arrived yesterday in southern Indiana. On 18 mm bond.
Make that 20mm Horween Nato.
I went away for a few days and only took my Seiko 007 [mistake].
I was so pleased to get back home, the first thing I did was wind and set my 82
I love this watch...looks great on so many strap options. Here's a new one that came today:
Well, this still seems to be the coolest of all Eddie's watches of all times.
It is not a new watch pretending to look "vintage", it IS vintage - by spirit, appearance, etc. Somehow I missed the moment to order one, and now I am looking for the "second coming", or in the "Sales" corner. Hope the new restock will appear soon.
Hey, Eddie, thank you for this watch and for all you are doing for us!
PS And seasons' greetings to you and all TZ guys. Have a prosperous 2014!
I like the song,it's not a Bruce Willis action movie though 😊
Dentsmithy - It was your post of your PRS82 on a Steveo that inspired me to get one of Steveo's strap, thank you for that. My first Steveo and it probably won't be my last!

Just as I thought it looks great on an Oyster,I modified a 22mm W Jean bracelet with ratchet clasp to fit and it does look well.
It has the look of an old Rolex, just got to shape the links a little at the lugs as they are slightly too wide and catch the case a little and maybe a few linksback to loose the width.
I'm now trying to find some pics of the original 1982 Precista with regards to hopefully seeing if their are any faded bezels, this may be my next
project,as a keeper I don't worry about resale value by doing this, I'm looking for that vintage appearance for what is a vintage homage.
I will let you all see it here if I dare go ahead,if it looks cool on a Rolex then why not on this ;)
So if anyone can find some nice ''faded'' bezels for the actual watch for me to try replicate then please post some piccies.

Gives me something to do on my days off I guess,I will be very careful and sympathetic to the look of the watch it will be very subtle. The clasp has enough space to have the No 82 engraved as another thought.
Maybe mod the crown and pip too whilst I'm at it hey, well the pip is easy really.....just get rid of it.
Looking at the pic it might just be a matter of loosing the shine on the bezel,I like the pip better on the original too.

Bezel now given that worn aged look, the pip will have to go tomorrow.
The original bezels are painted black around the outer edges. Just something for you to consider...
Check my photos HERE.
Is the case of the PRS-82 an exact match of the original? From the photograph in Weslowski's book, the asymmetric crown side seems to project much further out from the bezel than on the PRS-82. The crown guard seems to be almost half way up the crown, whereas on the PRS-82 the crown looks much more protruding - I've looked at several photos of the 82 and I'm fairly sure there's a difference. To me the PRS-82 has a number of great attributes but I wonder if it was intended to 'tone down' the asymmetric qualities?
Not when it's MY choice to do what I want to MY watch to have the look I prefer.
For YOU and anyone else that feels as you do then quite obviously NOT for those people.
I like it.......hence the reason for doing it,I just couldn't wait the years for it to give me the end result,or NOT!,so I decided to help the process and.........rushed it along ;)
You don't seriously believe all the faded bezels you see are all naturally faded!,particularly when it's so cool to own one that is faded either naturally,or "rushed".
Vintage Rolex the obvious example of that look,I've had a few SMPs that benefit from the same look.
And now my 82 has the same look too ;)
Im considering taking a hammer and chisel to the case next and take some huge chunks of metal away for an even more aged look :).
I have a beautiful original aged/faded 5513 bezel that any 5513 owner would very much like to have.

Is there anybody with a 6.5 inch wrist wearing one of these?
