Thread: This shouldn't be too long now

Count me in, Eddie! Not sure if Dave E is committed to number 16 or not. If not, please put me down for that one. Otherwise, will take what's available, preferably 18, 28 0r 38. How soon will it be here?

Has the disgusting subject of money been mentioned yet? I do realise most of you don't need to worry about such vulgarities :D

(And not one of Eddie's famous "almost certainly less than £10,000" jobs please)

    :)

    Eddie,

May I please reserve No. 43? I'd love to add this to my growing TimeFactors collection, even though, as a "newbie," I fear I may be "jumping the line (queue)." Thanks.

BTW, I already have a similar order in to Bill Yao. The pair could be "kissing trans-Atlantic cousins."

The design is complete except for one thing:

I can't decide whether to put the "No Radiations" symbol on the dial!

As soon as I give Fricker a finished dial design, they will send me an offer.

I think the symbol would be nice. Differentiates it from other divers and and adds some colour

I'd much rather have it without. Not that I don't like it, but I believe it would then be mistaken for the original or worse, for a fake or cheap copy. I'll probably buy it either way, though :)

I'd prefer it without the symbol as well.

    And I would love the plexi-bezel insert :D :D

Hi there. Intrigued by your user name :?
Is it just a quote, or sounds interesting, or is there anything more behind it? :)

  28. #78
So, in less than 24 hrs, with no price, no picture (other than a back), and just a couple of hints, that's 42 of the 50 gone?
Eddie, you must be doing something right :D :D

Ha ha, if it sounds familiar thats because its from the memorable quotes from the movie The 6th Sense.

Cole Sear: I see dead people.
    Malcolm Crowe: In your dreams?
    [Cole shakes his head no]
    Malcolm Crowe: While you're awake?
    [Cole nods]
Malcolm Crowe: Dead people like, in graves? In coffins?
Cole Sear: Walking around like regular people. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dead.
Malcolm Crowe: How often do you see them?
Cole Sear: All the time. They're everywhere.

Seems i'm in a very small minority on the no-radiations issue.

I always loved that Polish Navy version because it isn't pretty and you can't wear it as a fashion accessory. This is a tribute to a tool watch and the logo makes it absolutely clear that it is one.

In my view it would also make a statement about the type of watches Precista's are mean't to be. I'm sure the logo would advesely affect re-sale values but as an LE with the AS movement I'd like to see it as faithful as possible.

That said i'm happy to go with the flow, but if nothing else please consider the second hand.

I think it might be something like one (or a mixture) of these

Looking at the different versions I was wondering if the AS movement has a date and if so, what you are proposing to do with it?

Undecided yet. Because these are NOS movements, I would have to go with the installed date wheel, which is probably white and printed for a 3 o'clock display.
