Alexander Hall - avoid like the plague. Affiliated with Foxton, and very dodgy.
London & Country - my recommendation from past experience.
Anyone you know to be good (or to avoid?)
looking at property in London.
cheers

I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
Garry Smith at Century 2000, his dad does commercial finance (and always has done), Garry deals with residential property, used him several times, really knows his stuff: http://www.century2000mortgages.co.uk/Contact-us.aspx
Simon at these people http://www.bellegrovemortgageservices.co.uk/ very nice bloke who really knows his stuff. Highly recommended. Say Pete from Limobike sent you ;-)
Any particular reason you need a broker? I never understood why people use them myself. Also have a look at https://compare.moneyadviceservice.o...ortgages/Step1 which is a government website which lists all mortgages.
If you decide not to go down the broker route then perhaps give Handelsbanken (website) a call. I dealt with them on my last purchase and they were exceptional.
I dealt with the same person from initial enquiry all the way through to completion. It was a completely personal experience, I could have a rational conversation with an actual person versus the "computer says no" approach of the high street banks.
The way personal banking should be and I would wholeheartedly recommend them.
Another recommendation for London and County. We used them as recommended on Martin Lewis' site. Thorough, expert service from them. Saved us £80 per month!
Can't recommend a broker but can recommend a personal friend for the conveyancing, buying and selling.
