Beautiful, well done.
I've been lusting after a VC Overseas for some time, and been torn between the different dial options and chrono/dual time/3-hand models. I finally plumped for a black dial 3-hand - as I intend to wear it as a work/casual watch, probably more work than casual. Thus the thinner case of the base model suited me better.
I've pestered Peter (ingenioren) for the past month or so, sold a couple of my GO's, and now ended up with this watch.
Initial impressions are very good - it's similar (but different) to the AP RO 15300, and has the same palpable build quality that you would expect from one of the "Holy Trinity". The case, guilloche dial, and bracelet are all lovely. It's a very good size for someone with small/medium wrists, sits very comfortably. The watch is about 4 years old, but runs great. There were a few swirls/scuffs of the bracelet, but I've given it a quick buff, and it's looking great.
Some quick snaps-

Beautiful, well done.
Congratulations! An excellent choice. I am very fond of my slightly older VC Overseas Chrono.
I also love the fact that there are very few VC´s out there.

Looks great! What is the dial size for this one? I have been looking for some Overseas,
but my possible budget covers only 37 mm pieces, which are small for my taste.
Just fantastic. Probably the only watch I would sell all my others for.
Fantastic watch. Bracelet looks fantastic too!
Thats absolutely lovely.
I have to say though, all of your watches have been right up my street. Collection envy :)
congrats!
How did you take such great photographs? the watch looks good too!
I absolutely love it. Every time I have seen one I want it. I think I am going to own one, as there is very little that covers so many basis in one watch for me.
It's just a matter of time...
Simply beautiful. Old Genta certainly knew what he was doing on occasion!
Lucky sod.

And with that, you are done. Now you will have to find a new hobby!
wow....that dial is amazing
A really nice watch. Wear it in good health!
That's a really lovely looking watch (and great photos too!)

Well done for finally getting one. Mine can rest easy again ;)
Best sports/dress crossover there is and I agree on all of your thoughts.
iPhone pic, not as nice as yours!
Right that is it - I'm tracking one down!
It's just a matter of time...
Really fantastic piece - pure class.

Wanted - Damasko DC57
Nice catch, that is a beauty.
Gorgeous mate, glad you managed to get the one you wanted
Loved mine, daft flip upon reflection.
For a one watch man, this watch cannot be beaten IMHO.
Very nice what size are these 42MM?, do they wear well for the size?
Looks great, and not a peep so far about the white date wheel and 4:30 position.
- someone had to!
It's the one design feature I'm not absolutely 100% about TBH. I don't think there's an issue with it, but the white dial version is possibly slightly more cohesive with the matching date-wheel, so it would be interesting to see what a matching black wheel looked like.
What a fabulous watch...a keeper for sure!
Beautiful watch.....just about perfect
You were 100% right to sell those two GOs and get the VC - it looks fantastic!
How would you say the VC compares with the GOs in terms of quality of construction and finishing?
the best looking watch i have seen on this site for a while. much nicer than the rolex sea dweller in my opinion.
Have to agree with everyone else. Beautiful clean watch. If you could only own one watch....
Congrats!
Before I clicked to open the thread, I knew it would be something special and something I'd like as I've noticed our tastes are very similar.
Personally, I prefer the chrono version but that's obviously a bit pricier and you just can't argue with what you bought!
Enjoy.
Congratulations, a stunning watch. I have been closely following a couple of VC Overseas Chronos lately, actually had one on my wrist at an AD in Milan yesterday. I might join the club soon...
Very nice Rob, you can sleep a little easier now that's landed.
Definitely a VC shaped hole in my collection.

Because it's quite thin (just under 10mm), it wears very comfortably for a nominally large case. The bracelet is also very flexible despite it's chunky look, so again it sits very well on the wrist. This is partly why I went for the 3-hand version as I intend to wear it for work. The Chrono and Dual Time are a little bit thicker (12.5mm), which translates to a chunkier, sporty look and feel.
Comparing the two bracelet watches (the Seventies and the Overseas), I would say there is very little in it in terms of build quality. This is a testament to GO rather than a slight to VC - the Seventies has one of the best bracelets I've ever come accross, the microadjusment on the clasp is superb, and the overall fit and finish are fantastic - I was very reluctant to let it go. Both achieve a great balance between being solid, comfortable, attractive and substantial without being overly bulky. The VC probably has slightly more intricate detailing on the dial and case, but again there's really not much in it. Both are really great watches.
very nice, but nice as it is, I would not have traded those two GO's for it..
Congratulations. The pick of the bunch.

I didn't consider it a two-for-one swap as the VC was more than one GO but not both (as I bought used) - I wouldn't have considered that a sensible trade. I'd decided a while back that I was only going to keep one GO and reclaim some funds for other uses. I'd ended up with 3 GO's "by accident". I'm also trying to maintain a "one per brand" policy.
ah my mistake.I just loved that Seventies !
This watch looks amazing, I can't stop looking on him.
