    This is the business

I acquired this 6206-8040 in February but haven't found the time to do anything with it. It dates from April 1967 and was a JDM model, a lot of the Japanese market Seiko's had the 'Business' logo on the dial.

Yesterday evening it finally got it's turn at the bench, I stripped and cleaned the case and movement. Here it is in it's component parts all ready for the rebuild.

Which I did this morning - I do love these sixties Seiko dress watches!

Really like that - what sort of size is it?

    Also like the before-parts-finished pics!

As with most sixties Seiko's it's quite conservative by todays standards - 36mm diameter and 19mm lug width. It does wear quite nicely though as most of that 36mm is dial.

Nice job Duncan, looks very nice. I've seen a few Business A models that I also like the look of.

Always impressed when someone can service or strip out and re-build their own watches. Nice one.
