    My First Zenith

Saw this today and could simply not resist buying it. A Zenith El Primero Captian Chronograph with the dark brown dial. I've admired it for ages but it was always too much at full retail.

Today it was on a good reduction in Crouches of Cardiff but a bit of friendly negotiation reduced the price even further. Sorry for the poor picture quality, as most of you know it's not my thing. Just as a heads up there are a fair few Zeniths in the Fraser Hart group at the moment on offer and Crouches, at least, seemed quite prepared to get me a watch from another shop to look at.

Very classy, very understated, lovely piece.

Display back? If so, you know you want to show it off ;)

Very nice, there are a whole number of attractive El-primero designs at the moment.

If you don;t mind telling us, what sort of discount was available from RRP?

I managed close to 30% off full retail.

Thanks for all the nice words, I'm just mesmerised by the workings at the moment Just keep gazing through the display back.

The dial changes colour depending on the angle the light strikes it. anywhere from plain chocolate through to almost black.

Zenith have got their act together with some of their latest El Primero Chronographs, and this is no different. I spotted the black version locally and just loved it. The brown dialled model looks as nice. I am sorely tempted to give up a few Chronographs for one of these. Superb. 8)

    Re: My First Zenith

I will try tomorrow. My picture taking skills are limited or perhaps it's the camera, it's one of those does everything poweshot jobbies and the macro mode is non existent.

What I can tell you is you do get an extended warrentee if you register on-line so the watch is now covered for 3 years - yeaaaa! Also looked at the servicing costs - not so yeaaaa!

Thank god all the clown watches have gone, I hope the designer was horse whipped then sacked.
