Hmmmmmm, will be interesting to see how this develops !
All started off with a Seiko 7548 I bought which was a bit knackered.
Needed a new glass, bezel, battery, stem etc etc etc so decided to give it a go. As I'm sure if your reading you know these Mod parts take an age to come, so in the meantime I bought this on this fine forum:
There was nothing wrong with it, but decided to demolish it anyway.
Now, for all you people thinking about giving it a go, go for it. The only tools I've got is a drawing pin, Stanley knife blade, one of the crap ball back openers and a crystal press.
I took this watch apart with the pin and the blade
To start, I swapped the bezel insert over for a sub insert from yobokies.
I wanted the original insert for my 7548 but didn't like the new look so I went over it with a few bits I found in the workshop
This point I was bored, as I had nothing else to do cause nothing else has arrived. So I thought I'd clean the dial and keep it as a spare.
For any eagle eyed readers you may realise that I've put it in a "solution". That solution is nail polish remover
Now I kinda liked the look of that dial as you could still see all the writing and markers but the dial wasn't perfect and had some pitting.
A quick look in the workshop and this was produced
Leaving that to cure overnight hopefully ready to fit tomorrow. DIDNT WORK!!
It's part of 3 mods I've got going on.
Waiting for parts from 10watches and 2 donor watches....oh and a hand removal tool and hand setter, so I'll update as and when
Well the parts came for the first mod, and the excitement took over and I didn't do a picture diary.
But from Harold I received the orange monster dial and black chapter along with the white handset. A silver chapter ring from 10watches and last but not least I pinched a 7s26 movement from a seiko 5 off SC.
Put them altogether and voila
Not too sure on the bezel insert, it's green ceramic at the min, but may swap it for black. Loving the isofrane though.
Any day next week I should be getting all the bits for a Soxa mod which I will be doing in stages and photoing
Hmmmmmm, will be interesting to see how this develops !
Cheers
Simon

It's not the 1st of April already is it? :?
Mmmmhhhh... Oooaakkkkkay...
poor Seiko :-( that's a crime...
I think I did a similar mod many years ago using just 1kg of Semtex and a box of Swan vestas !
Well the bits I was waiting for arrived today, so I went to it.
Started with a 009 and put its on a yobokies anvil
Camera died......so to the after pics
Made up with it :D
That is beautiful vin. Well done. You may have to do one for me!! :)
The second set of pics...Now that I like that looks like a nice set of well chosen mods.
