10% of current stock gone in about 15 minutes.
Congratulations Eddie I think you're onto another winner
Couldn't resist...
Eddie will have a hard & busy end of week, maybe he will be tired to see Mr Postman too often
But happy to see the winning result
Another one heading to Prague.
Ordered mine, together with a cheeky side order of a PRS5.:)
To be fair, the 5 is for my son for his 18th, but if I like it enough, and I'm sure I will, I'll have to force myself to get one for me.

80 sold so far already, they are going quick. I'm glad that I managed to get an order in early and fingers crossed I will get the number that I was after.

Great pics in there. You're right - that actualy looks dangerous. I swear I can hear faint humming when I look at those shots...Originally Posted by swanbourne

With a half life of 1600 years Radium will still be glowing strongly for a long time.
Compare that with Tritium which has a half life of 12.3 years.
And if it loses 1% of its activity every 25 years it means that a 70yo watch has more than 97% of its original radioactivity left. Wild :shock:Originally Posted by docd
Eddie, you have stated this is made in germany, but I can't find any ref as to whether this is a Fricker made case or elsewhere. Given the technical challenges it would be good to know who has put this together - care to enlighten?
Fricker hasn't made any cases for me for more than 4 years. I'm a little reluctant to tell my competition who's making my stuff  .Originally Posted by Pete

So how can you tell how many have sold? Just curious. :)Originally Posted by dowsing
I'm not sure if it was 80 now, what I did was put 200 in the shopping basket for the quantity of CAF watches, this now says that I can only order 105 (not 200). So I'm presuming that this means 95 have sold, though I think Eddie said that he had 147 or so in his possession so it may be that 42 have sold instead.Originally Posted by wainair
Ah, cool. I was looking for a "x-watches available" and couldn't find one.
That could have given Eddie quite the scare seeing an order pop up for 200 watches at once!! Though I'd imagine that would make the shipping much easier!
Just about to order one but site closed due to high sales, well done EP on a successful launch.
"17 April 2012, Sheffield.
Following the launch of the PRS-9 Precista Czech Air Force 9 hours ago, I have received an unprecedented number of orders and already have a one week backlog of shipping. I have therefore decided to disable ordering until the backlog is cleared.
Apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment caused.

Travelling all day, missed the opportunity to order, now got everything crossed for the grand reopening.
Sad for me, but happy for Eddie!
WOW!
Yes, congrats Eddie on an overwhelming success with the CAF! :salute:
Wow, I suspected that Fricker no longer does work for you but hadn't realised it had been such a long time...Originally Posted by swanbourne

Cheers,
Just a quick question... I could only check the store late in the afternoon but I don't see the CAF. Has it been pulled down from the store because of the backlog or is it something wrong with my browser, like a cache needing to be cleared?
you might want to try some cache cleaning...
Did that and I can see it now! Thanks! :thumbleft:Originally Posted by wainair
It's a beautiful watch, stunning. Maybe even the most attractive of the Precistas. I'd consider it were it not for the high dome crystal, no date and the fact I'd really like the bronze watch if it ever comes into being.
I've now succumbed to an OCD style page refresh reflex action every few minutes, waiting for the order site to come back on-line! Need to calm down...

First impressions Lucan?
That leather pouch is great
That looks bloody gorgeous actually and does not look out of place next to the PAM!
Literally took it out of the box for a quick snap as I'm at work, but certainly larger than I expected(a preference for me). Loving the engraving on the rear but reserving judgement on the strap, going to take some breaking in I think as its currently quite rigid.
Fantastic service and packaging with the inclusion of a nice leather pouch & bonus spring bar tool!
Thank you for putting up the photos Lord Lucan, as others have said what are your first impressions?
We don't normally like speed posters LordLucan - but in this case please post your way to 50 posts on this thread
Interesting about the size, I think we all kind of suspected it had plenty of presence but as I understand it's the same size as the original.
Just received mine.
Pics, (obligatory), taken. However, will have to post them later as I have to take Lynn shopping and she won't wait other than to let me post this.
First impressions? WOW
Great wrist presence, superb quality and utterly utterly gorgeous. Another great from Eddie. :D
Oh,and as it's my 41st wedding anniversary present from Lynn, Eddie was kind enough to ensure that I got No 41. Now that's quality service. Thank you Eddie, greatly appreciated. :D :D :D :D :D

I love it when a new model is released - it all becomes a frenzy and is quiet exciting!
Cheers
....perhaps now watches have reached critical mass on the size front its time for a new fashion of wearing muliple watches simultaneously??! :roll:Originally Posted by OliverCD

It's interesting that this is a CAF homage, with a Swiss movement, housed in a German case being released in Great Britian.
