Yup ! I always think double D with 34 ( after an old friend)
:) :)

Everytime I see some numbers I automatically associate them with bikes or cars.
So for example, 127 - Fiat, 46 Rossi, 6061 Aluminium tubing etc.
Sometimes I wonder how sad I am getting in my old age!

Yes sir. I.e. 222 is me the topspeed of a 198x Audi Quattro, 308 is Ferrari, 250 the HP of a Porsche 964. Sad but true
Damn you. Never noticed it until I read your post :D
Indeed. Every time I see the number 69 I think of
Woodstock.
Yes and also segments of telephone numbers. Thats for all the old folkes who were used to remembering phone numbers before the advent of mobiles with the facility to store names with numbers.
Old muscle car displacements for me:
283, 289, 302, 327, 350, 351, 383, 389, 396, 427, 426, 427, 428, 429, 440, 455
Alright, who can name the muscle cars with those displacements, in order?
I tend to associate numbers with car models. In fact, a couple of the houses in which I've lived have had numbers that match with car models.
I do it all the time.
Some people do go a bit far though; someone recently started a thread on the same thing on a car forum I visit, and one of the replies admitted to thinking in Volvo engine codes when he saw B-road signs
Don't associate then with cars but do with some famous cricket innings!
I can, but I feel that would be cheating lol.....Originally Posted by nanuq
How many of those displacements are shared by more than one manufacturer or marque though?
205 - my old Peugeot GTi
182 - current RS Clio
916 - the most gorgeous motorbike ever made
Generally speaking I would with a 3 digit number with a rounded last number
Numbers interest me as well.
