Enough to put anyone off buying one.
Noticed on the front cover of Rolling Stone magazine today that Sir Paul is wearing an Aquanaut. I seem to remember that Ringo wears one too.
Enough to put anyone off buying one.

He can do better, or not? :P
hmmm!
Well I like him. I generally like his music and I think he has an excellent voice. I must admit I was rather surprised to see him wearing an expensive watch - I was always under the impression that he was a bit of a miser with his cash. Still from his point of view the Patek is the equivalent of a £1.99 jobbie bought from the Sunday Market.
More importantly, Van Halen do have a new album out which is superb!
Althought I'm not sure whether Eddie Van Halen is a WIS or not :D
Would've expected a "modest" Calatrava if any PP at all on his wrist....
Strange pose. For a second I though he was smoking a joint.
My thought exactly. Then I thought he ate a biscuit, but it looks like a computer chip... Don't know what the h... he is doing...Originally Posted by Bullseye1

Yeah. I like Paul McCartney too. The way people talk you'd think there was only john lennon in the Beatles! Yeah, 'Macca' gets a bit up his own arse at times - but then lennon was the most pretentious one of the lot! End of the day there were only 4 beatles (NOT 5! ) and sooner than we think there'll be none - and that'll be a loss. As far as im concerned if youre a member of the Beatles youre rock royalty and you can pretty much do anything you want style-wise and still be cooler than the guy next to you. As for Mr McCartney being a miser - a./ Did we gain this information from a reliable source? Or the press? b./ his money - his business.Originally Posted by Rick Hussey

We spoke about his music, guitar playing and the early days of The Beatles and then I watched him play the piano for a while. Seemed like a very decent bloke to me.
Great watch. Great musician. Simple as that.

What if you found out someone you thought was really cool wore one? Would you bifurcate? ;)Originally Posted by K80

...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
He needs to take it a bit easier with the Just For Men
Hard core veggie = rubber strap, I presume.
Re Van Halen: didn't Michael Anthony (the bassist) have a connection with a watch company?
______
Jim.
Nice watch - doesn't look so great there.
Also given that PP favour greyhaired hedge fund men in their late thirties/early forties for a bunch of their ads having a 'chestnut' haired man in his seventies might not be in line with their marketing.
im not sure that i could picture him with anything other than patek.
theyre in my head as slightly old man watches.
still, the nautilus is a lovely thing.
His Rolex is on his left wrist :D
This watch was added for the photo shoot

I have a tiny harmonica like that and the only tune you can play on the 4 notes is " If I was a rich man ".
Wonder if Macca can get more out of it ?.
Puts me off..
I'm sure that's not the only Patek he has been photographed wearing? As has been said he is one of the nicest guys you could hope to meet. And a true music legend.
Couldn't have taken him very long to talk about his guitar playing. :roll:Originally Posted by pluseditor
I didn't need much already to put me off Patek, but he has helped.
Whereas you could talk for hours about your guitar playing I expect. :roll:Originally Posted by java
I'd struggle to think of any bands with a quality back catalogue as huge as paul McCartney / the Beatles. A proper band. We'll not see the likes of these again.
Nowt wrong with that - it could have been much more ostentatious.
This aquanaut is the watch he wore at his wedding, if anyone cares.
Love the watch, can't stand him or any of the other Beatles. No, I've never met him.....but who cares.
