Currently have 9 watches having just sold one on ebay for the first time. Self-assessment deadline is 31 Jan! A nerve-wracking experience! Achieved the reserve price which was a huge relief and then suffered the hurt of calculating how much eBay and PayPal get.
Perhaps I should wait to qualify for SC before the next sale
Good luck with the job hunt, sounds like you have the right perspective on life and appreciate what's really important so stuff the arseholes who want to control your life. Branch out on your own :D

I am not sure, about 12 - 14 i guess, some only good as give away's, but i can not sell a single one.
I stopped counting after about the 10th one....
I have 18 at the moment and another arriving from Europe this week.
Utter madness I know. Would like to cut the collection to about half a dozen.
I own 3, but only wear 2 of them really.
So thinking about selling the 3rd one and being content with just the 2 :)
Never counted them. Maybe a couple hundred... I started collecting watches when I was a little kid and have been pretty good at keeping stuff over the years.

I am at seven + a cheap for fun skeleton... Continuously wonder if it is the right number and keep trying to adjust it :D
Had about 40 until a year or so ago. I think I'm down to about 25.

Currently 3, and that feels right for me. Mind you, I am after a Hamilton Khaki King at present, and I'm not planning for any of the others to go. So that'll be 4 then....

I have a watch box with 10 spaces, my agreement with my wife is that I cannot go over that.
It's full, currently, but 2 need to go. I have 2 keepers realistically, but they all get a good rotation.
18 at the moment but gradually being reduced down to 12 as that is the size of the watch box......could always buy another watch box I suppose.
If you asked her in dorrs she would say "to many" but don't question her handbags etc.

Have 8 at the moment. Would like a couple more, but saving for a deposit (and they are a little on the expensive side) means that it isn't going to grow anytime soon. :(

I've got six at the moment and I find that's just a good number to ensure that they all get a reasonable 'run-out' regularly.
Four at the moment with one hopefully with me by the weekend - but the aim is to get this down to three soon.
I have about 15 - but looking to get this down to 4 or 5 :|
Six at the moment + one which is more like a computer then watch.
I count in at 14, but that includes 2 Digitals!
7 are high value (by my standards), 5 are low to mid value. I enjoy them all equally. :)

About 20 ish.
It kind of happened over a period of 20 yrs or so. About 1 per yr !
8 are what I call high value, in that our house contents insurance is adversly affected. :(
A couple that are not huge value are Alpha Newman Daytona stylie. And yet, I like these
for different reason as much as my Navitimer :roll:
Too many, a few of which I seldom if ever wear but when I contemplate selling them, I keep finding reasons not to :D
Oh, and there is one, a project watch, winging its way to me from China!

Sixteen! There are only three watches I paid more than £500 for, so still a "value" collection
+ about 300 straps in boxes and bags all over the house

-18 vintage
- 4 modern mechancials (mostly low value)
- 2 G shocks
- 3 modern quartzes that have zero merit from a WIS perspective but have a lot of sentimental value.

I usually have about 12 but of these the Datejust, Zenith el-primero and Breitling are keepers. The rest are mainly 7750 auto's (Eterna, B42,Zodiac,Burrett, etc) with a couple of Seiko's as gardening watches.
I need to thin out the 7750 collection so anyone wanting one let me know.

Considering selling the lot for something high end.
Thought I had 8, but then I remembered I left one out, so I have 9. Regularly wear 7 of them. This excludes a couple of old digital watches with dead batteries, and my beloved Bulova Accutron, which was my only watch between 1973 and approximately 2003, but which no longer runs.
10 , of which 5 are good ones, 5 cheapies. (Just realised I've bought 7 in the last year, and sold 2 !

2 decent, 4 or 5 cheapies with sentimental value
One for each day of the month, plus a few extras.
Six, but five are family pieces.
