Looking forward to this very much.
Hi all
No, it's not online yet but I've had a lot of PMs asking when it will be! I will be finishing the review off today and tomorrow and it will be online tomorrow evening - a decade to the day that I received my PRS-1 Speedbird. Thought that would be nice! :-) If anyone would like to send me their photos for inclusion where I can then you are most welcome.
Cheers
Ewan

Another fan of your reviews here Ewan - looking forward to it.
Yup looking forward to the mother of all reviews!
Looking forward to your review nice thing for me is I have one in hand to compare to your perspective.
Likewise. In fact I've used my favourite new Google Chrome extension to "Kindle It" your reviews so that I can read and refer to them when out and about with the Kindle. I'm very much looking forward to reading your thoughts on the Everest.Originally Posted by 5avvy

This just might become the third time a Ewan review has tipped my balance into shelling out for a TF watch! Your reviews are without rival, Ewan.
Ewan, please just sit on your review - I have resisted logging in here for 6 months and it is quite likely I will buy another Smiths if you leave a link...
Eddie, it looks good, it looks affordable, it looks Timefactors - well done that man :thumbleft:
You'd better not login in a few hours then Andrew ;-)Originally Posted by andrew e

An excellent and thorough write-up as always, Ewan. I enjoyed that, and I'll be giving it another read through tomorrow.

Great review, thanks a lot.
very nice review ewan. makes me want one!
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
excellent review Ewan, much appreciated! good to know a bit more about the movement in this, and i have to say it looks the biz on both that strap and the nato, possibly even more so than on the bracelet.
might have to try one of these at some point!

another enjoyable read of a review...great stuff!
Great review!! Your reviews have led me to buying a Speedy Pro, a Sinn and the PRS-5.......and I just ordered the Smiths!
Thank you Ewan, for assembling such voluminous information, fantastic photographs and your very enthusiastic perspective on this new Smiths. I'm growing less and less patient as mine makes its way across the pond!
Another review for my Kindle. Thanks.
enjoyed reading as always.thankyou ewan.
Loved it, Ewan!
Congratulations for a decade of WWU - watch write ups!

Ewan, if I had looked at it I would rate it very highly - a good collation of all the Miyota facts there.
Of course I haven't, I wouldn't dare glance at it
The more i read and see about these watches the more i want one LOL
Hi Ewan,
A great review, and I'm one step nearer to getting out my credit card as a result!
Just a small point though - I think you may have a typo in your conclusion....
"Ten tears on and I sit with both the Speedbird PRS-1 and the Everest PRS-25 in front of me."
.....or maybe it's been an emotional 10 years gazing at your Speedbird......?
Once again, many thanks for a great review and to all those that shared some wonderful images,
Steve :)
What a great piece of work. It very much enhances the ownership experience having such a detailed review and analysis. Thank you.
Thanks for a fantastic review 8)
My dilemma about whether to buy one is now over as I've just ordered mine :D
Can't wait :bounce:
  I guess I could have left 'tears' in there but have changed it!! It was a late night!! Thanks for that and thanks to all all of you for your kind words about the review. When I write these I mean what I say - the detractors should get their credit cards out and buy an Everest!!Originally Posted by tuscanracer

Simply brilliant review.
Thanks for taking all the trouble.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
I've only just managed to make the time to read the review having been looking forward to it since it was posted.
As ever, an excellent, comprehensive review. Many thanks for putting it together Ewan.
Another excellent and well-considered review Ewan, a lot of care and thought is evident throughout it - many thanks for taking the time.
...and many thanks to you Simon for use of the images, very much appreciated.Originally Posted by IANAN

Love the website, watcharoo-or watcharama rather. This review was no exception and will only further my desire to purchase one. Thanks Mr Ewan.
Another excellent review; haven't gone for an Everest so far because of the lug to lug distance, but that review has nudged me quite a bit closer to buying.
Well, I'm not reading it
If I do, I'll end up buying the watch - it's happened at least seven times before :D
Great review for a great watch, I really enjoyed reading that.
Thanks
joe.
Forget that concern, lug to lug is the same as for a smp or seiko '55 - both of which live happily on my 6.75inch wrist.Originally Posted by Seabadger
Got mine on a hirsch liberty today and leather really works (if like me you don't want the very good bracelet), NATO doesn't really work for me on this watch (love NATOs otherwise).
Personally I'd have paid a bit more for a sapphire crystal otherwise no complaints.
I'd agreed. As I've found with the beautiful PRS-5, the high-dome acrylic is a door-magnet. I'd have preferred a lower sapphire (and a date of course).
I love the warmth you get from acrylic - a bit of polywatch sorts out any scratches.
A great read and very comprehensive review, thanks!
It's also 1.1mm away from the 29B, which was too big for me...Originally Posted by JeffCansell
