And you'll get trendier jeans ;)

    Re: Waist Size

What really pi**es me off about this subject is you can't generalise about people!
If you believed the magazines then the whole of the English rugby squad would be obese!!!! As would any nations team, would you be the one to tell em????
As a species we are getting bigger, living longer. Technological advances in medical care, better diets are all contributing to this. Yes there is a point where people need to lose weight but the charts issued to GP's etc can only generalise. Unless your GP is unhappy with your weight then don't worry.
    P.S. I happen to be 6ft 2" and 19 stone

    Re: Waist Size

Since we're adding height and weight now, I answered 30" waist but I'm 5' 11", 44-46" chest and weigh just shy of 14 stone.

    From an online calculator............

Your BMI is 34.1, which means you are in the very overweight or obese category. Losing weight would make a big difference to your health - you might want to speak to your GP about the best way to do this.

My BMI used to be around 34 when I was 7.8% body fat - it is a bad indicator imo. Waist size and collar size would be more relevant ,- but body fat would give a clearer picture - none of these makes you healthy though.

    47" chest, 6.5" wrist
Been lifting weights for over 20 yrs, but have Definately reached a plateau.
Stalking season has started and that usually sees excess weight fall away.

    Re: Waist Size

I think I'm 34", although I usually end up buying whatever fits length ways so sometimes have to get a 36. I've got very long legs and a tiny body, not sure how all my organs fit. I'm probably liverless.
