If you believed the magazines then the whole of the English rugby squad would be obese!!!! As would any nations team, would you be the one to tell em????
As a species we are getting bigger, living longer. Technological advances in medical care, better diets are all contributing to this. Yes there is a point where people need to lose weight but the charts issued to GP's etc can only generalise. Unless your GP is unhappy with your weight then don't worry.
P.S. I happen to be 6ft 2" and 19 stone
Since we're adding height and weight now, I answered 30" waist but I'm 5' 11", 44-46" chest and weigh just shy of 14 stone.

Your BMI is 34.1, which means you are in the very overweight or obese category. Losing weight would make a big difference to your health - you might want to speak to your GP about the best way to do this.

When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
My BMI used to be around 34 when I was 7.8% body fat - it is a bad indicator imo. Waist size and collar size would be more relevant ,- but body fat would give a clearer picture - none of these makes you healthy though.Originally Posted by Chris_in_the_UK

Been lifting weights for over 20 yrs, but have Definately reached a plateau.
Stalking season has started and that usually sees excess weight fall away.
I have a pair of Hugo Boss jeans that i bought 13 years ago that still fit me perfectly...size 29 waist !
only worn them a couple of times though as they are a horrid purply colour
i take size 48, i cannot walk and i am unable to exercise, i am on a constant diet, it is horrible to be dieting and not loosing weight, i was put on some tabs which were meant for me to loose a lot of weight, the did not work as i was eating very correctly, ah hell i have promised my self some guiness for christmas, i have had not beer etc since 26th of april, my birthday, the doc said i would loose a lot he is very wrong.

I think I'm 34", although I usually end up buying whatever fits length ways so sometimes have to get a 36. I've got very long legs and a tiny body, not sure how all my organs fit. I'm probably liverless.
