Have to agree Paul - V nice :)
I've always liked the look of the Superocean Heritage, but I found the 46mm version too large and the 38mm too small. Thankfully this year they have launched the 42mm size, which feels just right to me.
I thought about the blue bezel with white dial, but settled on the safer black.
The shark mesh bracelet is a work of art, with removable segments on each side near the clasp, it also has the micro adjustment hole on the clasp.
Here's some pics of the watch, I hope you like em' and feel free to have your say on the watch.
Have to agree Paul - V nice :)
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Cracking watch - good choice. I also thought the same about the sizing on the older models, didn't realise there was a 42mil one out.
First dibs when the inevitable SC post goes up!
Had the excact thoughts as regarding 38 mm vs 46 mm, so yes, the 42 mm is a welcome addition. Congrats.
I like it, very nice. Where are the lume shots?
congratulations very nice my favourite Breitling bar none but like yourself found one too small & one too big but this seems to have solved the problem perfectly.
Is the case the same height as the original 38/46mm, Paul? It looks slightly shorter, unless it's your pics or my eyes.
BTW, I've only just spotted your unique rank avatar :blackeye:
great loooking watch in a size thats gonna make it so much more popular.
on a side note how does this compare to a omega po
I agree - I bought the exact same watch :D
It can be given a new look with a leather strap - I bought the honey colour, so I can swap between that and the mesh.
It's not going to win any awards for lume, but at least the hands glow nicely, but I will have the mother of all lume shots next month. :DOriginally Posted by phil h
Very nice, 42mm is perfect. If they did it on a brushed pro2 I'd be
There.

FWIW I really like it.
Look great on the mesh and the size sounds very appropriate.
I found the 38mm too small when I had one and only tried the 46mm on in a shop, so never really knew if it would work for me or not.

Vive la différence!
About time B filled the gap between 38 and 46mm. It looks nice! Wasn't the SOH at the time the first "modern" watch that came on a mesh?
I also saw this one with a green bezel (or should I say Lunette Vert), which is a smart thing to do I think!
Very nice. The 42mm model is the best size of the bunch.
nice couple mate...
Absolutely the right size, tried one on the other day. The original sizes were ill conceived.
42 is an excellent size for a watch, height needs to be factored as well. A 39mm watch 14mm in height wears like a 42mm with 12mm height. Size here is very important as real men know
The Superocean Heritage is by far the nicest Breitling in my opinion.
I personally find the 46mm a good fit but it's good to see they've released a more popular size.
Smart. I'd need to see the mesh in person as it's not something I've tried before but the size is perfect for me. Looking good.
Stunning. The mesh is gorgeous.
wow, the first Breitling i like.........a lot! what a stunner. Had the same problem with the previous models, too big or too small, this just seems right
enjoy!

Damn! Oh well thats another on the list then, would have preferred the date window at theOriginally Posted by captainhowdy

I've had it years, just gave it a clean."
My word on the watch: superb
I've always been shy of Breitlings because of the bling models and the quieter ones not quite matching my tastes. This one looks lovely though. I like the proportions, how the mesh complements the watch head and the clear dial. I like the size and shape of the hands too. Not that mine is the last word on taste but you've got an attractive and well designed watch there. Impressive bit of kit. No wonder you're pleased :)

Very nice! Wear it in good health!
Enjoy. IMO It's moving closer to it's mentor. robbie
That does look good @ 42 had always been put off by the size of the previous - was about to pull the trigger on a 42 PO from my local AD this afternoon, now not sure.... that SO on a mesh is so choice........
Beautiful piece and the perfect size for me! Love the subtle dots of lume on the dial too!
Good Purchase!!!!
It's a beautiful watch. Now that it's out in 42mm, I can hope the SC is flooded with 38mm cast-offs!
Saw that these had at last started to hit the shops a couple of weeks ago - well it took me a while to be sure until I noted the date position.
Good to see these are now hitting the street (and hopefully SC...) and that they look as good on the wrist as the other versions.
For me this is easily the best of the current Breitling collection. My wife (occasionally) wears her orange dial 46mm version; it even wears fairly well on my 6.75 inch wrist as the lugs do curve downwards and it looks far less "toytown" on me than an IWC Big Pilot which is the same size.
Nevertheless, a 42mm version makes far more sense and it is a great aquisition.
Wow, that is nice
Really like that. I tried the bigger version but wasn't for me. Might have to have a closer look at the 42 though...
Whats the RRP if you don't mind me asking?
The price on these has shot up to £3520, but a lot of brands have done the same, we could expect the new PO to be £4K in the new year. :shock:Originally Posted by alex
Looks great. I hope this spreads to the TransOcean range too.
It made sense to plug the gap between 38 & 46mm.
I know it isn't quite the same but I do love mine...........

That chrono is one heck of a watch, how is the bracelet holding up?Originally Posted by Batonman
The bracelet is amazing, though I do swap it occasionally on to a Breitling rubber strap ( though not the Ocean Racer - I'm not paying £180+ for a rubber strap!). It is now my only bracelet in my collection and a nice one.....

really wanted one of those a while back.
Incredible presence on the wrist.
But the $300 fakes with ETA movements put me off, sadly.
They are absolutely beautiful watches.
I'm not quite sure I follow, most expensive watches are copied these days, but that would not alter my way of thinking when it came to buying.Originally Posted by johnfm
Got to say that Breitling have got it spot on there. A fine looking watch and apart from the Aerospace the only modern B I'd be glad to wear.
Here's hoping for a 42mm seadweller......
Then don't buy the fake one. Simple. ;)Originally Posted by johnfm

well, like others I agree! the 42 is a much better size. I've always quite liked the SO but the 46 has always put me off.
The Heritage watches are by far the best looking Breitling designs.
Much better size!
It's just a matter of time...
Is it that simple?Originally Posted by andrew
A post above suggests these retail at £3250 now.
Why would I pay £3250 for something that as been very accurately remanufactured with a Swiss ETA movement etc etc for £200.
I don't want a fake. By I don't want a wary that has very little inherent value I side the case.
For a little more than £3/£4k there are watches where he innards are not so easily faked/inserted.
Doesn't detract from a beautiful watch though
These watches have not yet been faked, neither inside or out, but I'm sure that won't bother you as you don't like fakes, or it seems the rrp on watches with a base movement.Originally Posted by johnfm
Very nice watch, by far my favorite Breitling diver, and to echo several others comments I too found the 46 just to big & 38 WAY to small, so I guess thats another one on the list...bugger, this is getting expensive.
I like this a lot can you pm me how much it was if you don't mind of course.
