The strap suits it very well.
Simplicity at its best 8)
Great looking strap!
Everybody should have at least one in their collection.

why not, after all they are quarz driven!
Definitely. (But looks like Silverman's are out of stock of both versions if you want new. At least they're no longer available on their website.)Originally Posted by derek_faker

Thanks a lot for injecting CWC virus into my artery. Do you really have to take these mouth watering fotos?
Wear them in good health . . .

Don't forget Precista. Here's mine from 1982.

Another lovely timepiece :bounce: :drunken:
Wear it in good health, my friend . . .

Actually, my Precista has different hands to those on my CWCs. I assume that they were made in the same factory?
The Precista hour and minute hands are polished and the seconds hand has a larger "tail". The seconds hands are balanced as per the "Defence Standard" documents of the era in which the watches were manufactured.
Really like the look of the CWCs, hoping to get one myself very soon.
Although they are made to a price, isn't everything these days, the post 1983 ones have a quality Swiss 7 jewel quartz movement in them.Originally Posted by teknicolourfox
The earlier ones, known as "Fat Boys" have a Swiss ETA quartz movement with 0 jewels but it's a really nice movement and it was used by the likes of Heuer in their diver's watches.
Get one, you won't regret it. :)
I'm going on a road trip round Europe in a couple of months and think a CWC will be able to take the punishment. It wont upset me too much when it gets bashed about whilst I'm trying to fix the car
I have 3 precistas, 2 from 1982 and 1 from 1984. The hand quality seems better than the cwc equivalent. Also the Lume retains the original colour. When I bought my 1984 the hands were that good I thought they must be new I have since seen others the same.Originally Posted by derek_faker
I am not sure they are made in the same factory. All of my precistas have the 2 screws missing that hold the movement into the silver coloured movement holding ring. I used the screws from dead cwcs to secure the movement. They are not needed as the movement is kept in place by the caseback. I have never encountered a fatboy cwc of the same age without the screws.

I'm really taken with the CWC G10, finally got round to getting one and the wife purloined it within a couple of days... Looks great on her too, so rather than pop this new found horological appreciation, I'm thinking of getting a PRS-10 to wear myself, as I'm a lot harder on my watches than she is. Furthermore, the CWC is in really nice condition, and the added WR of the Precista will give me greater piece of mind when immersing my hands in buckets of water etc.
Couple of pics (courtesy of the good lady).
