Toshi straps ring a bell for me. Not so much "ammo" leather, though he may have some but he does make straps using vintage leather.

Was wondering if anyone could recommend where to buy a vintage leather (ammo pouch style) watch strap.
I really like the look of ones like the ones Scott (Timesofplenty) recently posted.
Does anywhere in the uk sell something like them?

Thanks, just checked out the website. They look great. Will need an 18mm strap and seems that they'll do that width, I'll just have to source a buckle.
Buckles come with the straps. http://www.toshi-straps.co.uk/buckles.htmlOriginally Posted by craig77
Unfortunately only down to 20mm according to their website. It says they'll make the straps in narrower widths but that you have to source your own buckles for these.Originally Posted by Mitch Buchannon
Aks Harry from Lederarts in Swiss. I'm very happy with the unique Ammo/Vintage look of his Straps. The price is great and he is a very nice contact. So if you ask maybe he can
make 18mm for you. http://www.lederarts.ch/
Thanks. Coincidentally I found this site via another thread a couple of days ago.Originally Posted by ILoveWatches
Very nice looking straps but quite pricey. I guess you get what you pay for though...
The 24mm Straps are sold for about 50-70 Euro. That's a fair price for the old leather with a unique look.
Vintage Straps from other Strapmakers are normaly over 100 Euro. I can't help you with a cheaper solution.
Maybe you have to look into the bay. There some Asian Strapmakers selling Vintage Straps, maybe there's something for you.
I'm sure they can make you a custom Strap.
Keep us up to date with your search.
"Jürgen's" Straps make very good quality ammo straps... using surplus WWII ex-military equipment (belts, jackets, holsters, etc.). The final product will sometimes have a 'unique' character, but that's what you're after, I guess.

My mistake. Must have been thinking of something else, thought they were about 120 euro.Originally Posted by ILoveWatches
Will have another look as I thought they looked really good.
Sounds like what I'm after. I'll have a look at them too thank :thumbright: s.Originally Posted by flugzeit
Another good place for unique straps is http://www.wotancraft.com
They have something for all tastes, but every single one is awesome. I have a vintage leather NATO due any minute...
Ah ha, these are the ones I was meaning on my earlier post where I said they were great looking straps but not cheap.Originally Posted by sporty corty
They really do have a 'quality' look about them, but would be worth more than the watch I'd be putting them on!

Lederarts straps:
Other side of the pond for you guys, but Rob at http://www.thestrapsmith.com/The_StrapS ... lcome.html has a pretty amazing variety of vintage military leather he's collected from all over the place. I had him do a non-scarred WWII ammo belt strap for my MB 1.5, and he sent me a whole bunch of pictures of different leather/thread combos before I pulled the trigger.
Peter Gunny also is an extraordinary vintage belt manufacturer, very good quality http://gunnystraps.blogspot.com/

Not really ammo leather, but old baseball gloves maybe will do for you...
