What's your price point?
Hi guys -
I need to get a couple of new (leather) straps for existing and incoming watches - previously I've always bought Hirsh straps from the bay as they seem quite good. But am I missing out on some high quality straps at a decent price? Any suggestions for something better than Hirsch in terms of price/quality trade-off?
On a side note, can anyone point me to somewhere where it shows how a NATO strap should be properly fitted and worn?
Thanks!
BG.
What's your price point?

Wanted - Damasko DC57
Hi Andy -
Well, I guess in the region of €40 or thereabouts. Money is an object :)What's your price point?
Cheaper would be fine, as would slightly pricier for something special.
BG
eddies aviator straps are in the same league as the hirsch liberty etc imho and about half the price.
di modell chronissimo is a very nice strap .
or get a toshi off sc, they crop up every now and then.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I think Hirsch are pretty good VFM.
Others worth looking at in the up to £30 ball park include Di-Modell,RIOS Juchten the Don Ginsler Panerai style straps and as suggested already a used Toshi is a good option.

Hard to beat a Toshi and if you can get a used one, even better - IMO anyway.
I bought an alligator strap and a deployant clasp from these chaps and was extremely impressed http://www.watchworx.co.uk/
I have recently bought 2 straps from Steve Lambert @ Steveostraps and his work is quality and his prices are also very reasonable. Check out his website which is linked to Carl's @ gasgasbones.
Take a look here.......http://www.watchstyle.co.uk/

Streach to a Toshi ... Its worth it and you will not be dissapointed.
Hi there,
I recently received a couple of Di-modell Jumob straps, superb quality and very confortable, available for £15 in the UK (ukwatchstrap.co.uk , excellent next day service) and $30 from Freda watch straps. Very nice...happy shopping

Ill second the straps from Ken at watchworx great bloke to deal with although my deployment clasp kept opening so got another one elswhere, but Titan CS strap is great and a bargain at only £14 inc delivery.Originally Posted by Seb d
+1 on the DiModell, far better than any Hirsch I've had.
I agree with Di-modell and Rios.
Bought a few from http://www.watch-band-center.com over the years.
Good quality, reasonable prices.
I have to aggree with you dejj I managed to pick up a used one. Great quality GVFM and adds to the wrist presence of any watch IMHO.Originally Posted by dejjl
Surprised Steveo doesn't get more of a mention. I just ordered this bund, custom made, specified size and stitch-work etc. All for £25, ordered on the Friday wearing it on Tuesday. The quality is excellent and nice thick soft leather. Communication is top, you even get an approval picture. Give him a shout if you need a strap > http://www.steveostraps.com/Originally Posted by roadkingrider
another vote for toshi from me
The 3 that come to mind have already been mentioned, Steveostraps, Toshi and Gasgasbones.
+1 for "stretching to a Toshi" - I have 6 or 7 and they are all fabulous.
If not, Ken at Watchworx is great to deal with and his straps are good value

Thanks for the reference, I did not know him, but you have a very nice strap there!Originally Posted by fornowagain
Just ordered my first Toshi so just got the wait for it to arrive
Another vote for Steveostraps. The quality is superb and the price is spot on... I have 3 watches on Steveo's straps at the mo. :albino:Originally Posted by roadkingrider
Any opinions on Camille Fournet? I ordered one from watchstyle.com recently (a brown Chatelet to be precise). It hasn't arrived yet, but they look quite nice in the pics at least.
Hirsch.
And they will make to order, if you ask nicely.
A nice Shell Cordovan, which i now can't live without. Theres nothing nicer.
Condor, made in India, are similar to Hirsch, made in Austria, but cost less.
I put a Condor teju lizard on an Audemars Piguet and the watch sold in seconds. I think the strap sold the watch.
