The price is beyond a joke surely...............

Look at the bloody price!
The price is beyond a joke surely...............
Oh... My God...
The price is on the long side but I've seen the somewhat rarer 2915's go for £20K+. And compared to the price of a vintage Daytona, why not? This is a rare and sought after piece after all.
It's value will be based as always on how much somebody is willing to spend!!
“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
Never!!!!
Heresy but I prefer the newer white stick hands. I'll save the £15K for a Patek...
Ageed that these can go for serious money but they have to be in top condition to go north of £15k, it is a hopeful seller, £12k for a 1665 with a rail dial and just service papers is around £4k more than itis worth IMOOriginally Posted by Gurmot
I fancy this speedie is closer to 10k, and i would imagine he would have little problem in selling it if it was actioned through Antiquorum
if you really want it, and more to the point have the money.......................
I guess he's having a punt then and keeping his fingers crossed. How would the antiquorum fees compare with Ebay I wonder?Originally Posted by watch-nut
I wouldn't think that folk with that much disposible cash to spend on a watch are going to be searching through ebay in the first place...
they'd be much better off putting it in a specialist high end watch auction.
Thats about four or five times what the watch is worth!
Dumbest thing I've seen all week. And I've been writing a proposal to undertake a particularly dumb project.

Those are pretty mediocre photos for someone hoping to raise 16 grand.
hi, scrap metal price?
If you are a monster Omega collector, or someone who is missing this watch from your collection and you have the money, then why not.
Nice watch however that is getting close to DRSD money and I know what I would prefer.

For reference, there's a slightly later 2998 (without lolipop) on sale on TypeXX for Euro19800.

It is rare, if it's the missing link in your collection, then why not ? A watch is worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay for it ....
