The title says it all. I was trying to regulate my Seiko Spirit, following instructions found on t'Internet, and no, I've never done it before. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE HAIRSPRING—IT IS VERY DELICATE AND EASILY DAMAGED said the instructions. Yes, I touched and damaged the hairspring. Yes, I've learned my lesson and knowing my cack-handed limitations I won't mess around inside a good watch again.
However this leaves me with a dead watch. Can anybody recommend a repairer who will replace the hairspring for a reasonable price bearing in mind the value of the watch (around £150)?
