Very Nice Eugene, it looks like if the tritium is the original one. Is it dated 1948 or is one of the later ones? Pistures of the back?

Beautiful watch. I'd love to have one. Hesitated on one at Blower's a few years back, and regretted it ever since. Thanks for posting.
Effortless.
Her's mine, together with it's cousin JLC Mk XI. Very special watches these navigational Mark XIs
Very nice pair Franco! Hardly see the JLC Mk 11s for sale these days.

Eugene

Nice watches Eugene and Franco.
Please note something which has been much enphasised in the Omega Navigation watches, 1953 issue. In the Omegas, the original radium dials of 1953 had a stylised broad arrow, called "thin arrow". In 1957 - 1958 the dial was changed by the MOD to one with Tritium instead, so called "fat arrow".
The same happened for the IWC Mk XIs, and you can see that Eugene's is a tritium dial, mine is a radium dial instead.

Wow. Nice!
Lovely watches. How much does it cost to get an extract from the IWC ledger?

Hi
it would only be about on CHF 50, on most IWC watches, except military pilot watches and Ingenieur. These are
lines that IWC feels are widely faked, and they will only release the exract once they have inspected the watch.
Last time I did it for an Ingenieur, I shipped it to Richemont London, who then sent it to Schaffhausen, etc Only paid for the
shipment to London and the 50 CHF fee.

The MK XI is an absolutely stunning watch. It's my favorite design because it has clean lines and simplicity that come from functionality rather than fashion. I'm collecting parts for my own homage project.
Cheers Franco for the great info. Sadly I haven't got one, but a friend of mine has a mk11.Originally Posted by Franco
