black the way to go.
Black in most cases, but i really like orange dials in divers.
black the way to go.
I think the Orange on Doxa dials is one of the best.
The picture says it all.. :D

This one has to be right up there also along side Black.

90% or more of my watches have black dials, followed by blue
i rather like white but have never quite been bold enough to part with the money for one, so black i guess
Would have to say black.

I love the blue on my airman 2000, looks black in low light but in sunlight it's a stunning blue.
Its Blue for me
Variety is the spice of life etc, but still keep coming back to black dials.

My favourite is silver, love the way it changes character depending on lighting conditions. Some examples below.
/michael.
Silver guilloche on a dress, black on a sports, diver or chrono.
This photo doesn't do it justice but I love the blue face on this watch.
Black - timeless and classic!

Most of mine are black now, but I've had several white dials, some full lume, some not as well as blue, orange, silver etc.
Not had a yellow dial yet, but I've a hankering to get one.

Generally black or silver but the green on my Seiko Alpinist has its own attraction.
Black dial and stainless case....the only way to go!!
Each and every watch has its own style - for Luminor I preferred black
it's got to be black for me with blue coming in a close second.
You sooooo have to see one of these in the flesh....Originally Posted by andy tims

I never cared for white dials,with one exception;
The "Siffert" Autavia.
IMO a black dial looks good on almost any watch:
But orange also looks very good on the right watch:
blue is nice too.. :)
Brown...i think it's not easy to find watches with brown dial
How big is that watch? :shock:Originally Posted by wolfeyes1974

I'm not a fan of panerai at all, but the Pam 91E has a very nice anthracite dial. had one in my hands the other day, looks great in person
Kinda ivory, silvery, pearly sort of effect. Like this:

I hate with a passion most of the Defys from the Nataf era (except maybe the zero-G, but purely on watchmastery grounds) but I REALLY like those.Originally Posted by Panofsky

Black dial for every day use , and for more dressier purposes I go for the white dail.
Pearly grey dial is nice too:Originally Posted by Saint-Just

Thanks
I am not green with envy; green is my natural colour :D
Funny that most people, even in the WIS community, will forget the Defy when they think of toolwatches...

There's black and there's black. I find gloss dials much less appealing than matt.
black for me too!
got to be blue
Every watch I like, own or have bought has a black dial, however on a Doxa I love orange and I like the white on the Rolex explorer. other than that black all the way.

Black is the standard for me, yellow for a bit more pizzazz now and again :D

Champagne coloured with ideally a nice guilloche finish ,but strangely enough all my current watches have black faces.

Not easy question I believe: Black (for chronos); Very dark blue; Blue (Glycine Stratoforte); Silver (Hamilton Jazzmaster Chrono); Golden (depending on the model); Antracite;...
Silvery-blue with splashes of Ivory
Or black
