Nah, has to be white for me :)
I quite like it.

Nah, has to be white for me :)
Thats nice.
I have been after a MO for ages but something keeps getting in the way (other watches)
Now I will struggle to decide, even when I finally get to the point of ordering

One day I will hace one of these in m collection.
Cracking watches but I must say the white dial is the one for me.
Enjoy it.
I like both. This is one of Stowa's best IMHO.
wouldn't kick either out, but my preference is white
Oh no, now it is getting dangerous - MO on a (you know the overpriced one) Nato:

I love the look of the black MO, seriously classy.

White for me too, the tradition wins for me. I can understand Stowa going down the Dornbleuth route with the black one, but where does it stop?Originally Posted by Jonmurgie
Having said that about the black MO, I do like how the Limited Edition black one looks with a silver 12!

Only available through WatchBuys though...

Sweet - very clean and tidy looking price...
You cannot beat the blue hands of the white one.Originally Posted by Jonmurgie
Vintage-Military wise the only reason you would have a black dial with white hands would be the addition of lume.

I think I have to agree with white... looks much more crisp with the blue hands, and it seems more traditional in the spirit of a marine chronometer. The black seems a bit too stealth for my taste -- perhaps if they had stamped the numerals to give it a bit more dial interest?
Both are gorgeous, prefer the black dial but also love the blued hands of the white dial. :D
the swines, now i have to save up for one of each!!
Nice watch, although an extremely high price Jorg Schauer has in mind...Not a special caliber either. :?
My thoughts exactly - if the black version had lume I might be interested - although then, you might as well go for the pilot's option.Originally Posted by abraxas
I'll stick with the original white, and keep debating auto vs hand-wind.
I'll be starting a Poll on "auto vs manual" for some research I am doing (probably later today) so you can practice your logic there. Personally I wish there was a manual version of the smaller Marine (Automatic).Originally Posted by thenikjones
This in manual and without a date would be perfect.

The black is limited to 120 worldwide - 80 for Watch buys USA and forty for direct customers. Shipping in October. 1150.

LE is brushed, not available with Roman numerals and has an applied silver (plated?) number 12.
Non LEs are available before October, or were when I looked on WUS stowa board.
No one with a rose gold one then? Thought you were all men of means? :D
I agree on that John!

So I'm having one built from parts sourced from Roland Kremmner:
It should look something like this when assembled:
The one above was built by WUS member 'Avitt' - his pic used with permission (cheers Tony  ).
Just had a mail to say that I am getting a black dialled MO LE2!!
Pics wil be posted when it arrives - which I suspect will be a little after the scheduled October delivery date!
In principal, I agree, but I just love the stark black and white contrast! Also, I used to have a black dialled Antea, and despite the lack of lume it was legible in surprisingly dark conditions due to the high contrast of dial and hands.Originally Posted by thenikjones
(Yes, ideally I'd love a Dornbleuth, but that isn't likely to happen in this lifetime!)

They both look great, the white perhaps a bit dressier.
I would however prefer the matt case, but it seems the polished versions are more popular.
Well I have got a white MO (Matt) and have just managed to secure what i think was the last preorder for the Black Limited Edition MO, so am very happy, however the long wait is going to kill me.
The other dilema is, as I have had an Airman Original on order since August, but can't really afford both, which one do I go for???

Hi Phil,
I heard about the supplier, unfortunately I am number 436 and yeah am not expecting to get it this year, however I am becoming a bit obsessive about Stowa, as I have three and two on order now!
How did you find out what number you were? I got an email from Jorg saying there were a few left and one was mine, but he didn't state the number? Maybe Viveca will email me on Monday?
Rich
Rich, I received my confirmation from Viceca yesterday, I ordered via the link Stowa sent me on Wednesday, I didn't request a number so not sure, maybe if you contacted Jorg he reserved you one and passed it to viceca to confirm?
I prefer the black to the white dial. But then I'm not big on white dials.
I think that looks extremely good. The outer minute track is a bit bigger, so the dial is not that "empty". Very nice!Originally Posted by Dapper

Nice watch, but I prefer white version :)
