Some great looking watches. Rod, I like that example very much. It's hard to find better, imho.
Best wishes,

Thanks Jim - this one was off Bubi and survived his extreme testing :DOriginally Posted by A.Pottinger

It's all been said already but add me to the list of Oris admirers but I have to confess I've never worn mine yet (or even sized the bracelet)!
My only Oris:
Regards - Neil.
I always liked the look of certain Oris watches but never realised how high quality they were for the price point until i got my self a Williams F1 model and was stunned at how well made it was -
Cheers, Richard
I've just bought an Oris!!
Just had a call from the shop and a deal has been struck! :)
Better go and pay for it then I s'pose.
Good choice, pictures to follow, then!Originally Posted by Ari

Absolutely! :D
I have a Big Crown Pointer Date my wife bought me for my 40th...its never missed a beat in nearly six years
Well I picked it up at lunchtime and I've had it on a couple of hours now.
When I looked at it before I couldn't really get a feel for how it wore as it was a lot too big for me, so all I could do was hold it in place to see how it looked on.
Obviously when I bought it they took a couple of links out so it fits nicely and having worn it since I have to say, it's really lovely on!
It has a nice weight to it without being heavy, and the watch and bracelet feel very smooth on. And it's got a subtle classy look, not flash or toolish or complicated but still substantial with its large crown, textured dial and solid looking bracelet.
Of all my watches it has a feel of quality and comfort most like my Omega Seamaster Professional. And that is high praise.
Very very pleased indeed with it. :)
Pics please! :)Originally Posted by Ari

I think Oris is on a par with Longines. Two brands punching well above their weight. Swatch has done well to elevate the brands just below Omega. The hydroconquest I just bought is close in quality to my old Seamaster Professional.
Oris' new marketing for the BC4 range has impressed me too. They feature in the new 00/24 magazine.
I've long been a fan but just don't have the funds right now to get one. But if money was no object then this bad boy would be my choice!!!

This is a model the really speaks to me. Came up for sale a while back and I'm still kicking myself for not buying it.
Cheers,
Gary
SOme might say that actually the Speedmaster II has a hint of the original 1969 Chronoris (several models below) in it. They came out at around the same sort of time, though, so just try getting that past the jury :lol:Originally Posted by Ari

I got an Oris this morning :)
It's a TT1 Titanium with lume dial and I'm very impressed with it.
It's sporty and chunky but lovely looking too. I love the light weight and warmth of the Titanium too.
No idea as to the exact value, but I like it a lot.Originally Posted by Ari
Oris tends to be good value for money.
I would like the old model Oris Regulateur "Der Meistertaucher." I do not care much for the latest orange model.
