In memory of our dog, Danniel who, (for some unknown reason), got nicknamed Griswold back in the 1970's.
He wasn't a pet, rather a member of the family. Lived to the ripe age of 14, and we were devastated when we had to have him put to sleep due to his failing health and the pain he was suffering.
Just thought it would be a nice way of remebering him.
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
To honor my very first Swiss watch, which was a Swatch AutoQuartz produced in 1997 (like the Omega's Omegamatic). Plus, aTqZ1997 rhymes with the name of this forum pretty well...don't you think;)

Named after American Surf Instrumentalists The Phantom Surfers. Excellent band btw. Been using it for a few years now, and sounds a bit interwebby as a bonus.
Originally mindbender, for those that are newer on the forum. I was in Psychological Operations.
Now, GMT+TX. I love GMT watches, just got my second GMT/first Rolex. Love the GMT2C. And, I'm in Texas.
"Gingerboy"
Let me think now, I'll give you a clue - it isn't because I have a penchant for the spice ginger (or root if you want to be picky).................. so I'll leave the rest to you :)
maybe something to do with my hair colour
Cheers

Because I am a sound man.
I am often asked "What do you do?" "Eat, drink, sleep." "No, for a living."
Well, for thirty five years I have been a sound engineer balancing live and recorded programmes for BBC Radio and Television. Since going freelance I have added corporate and commercial outlets to that list, but I am still a sound man.(Very sound, I hope!)
And I teach it, at various colleges.
So, sound man by nature, Soundman by (user)name.
Its easy to remember
'cause it's my name
Neil
Its the name of my cat
There are two threads to my Smokey99 nickname.
It first came up after a college weekend in Amsterdam where I developed a fine skill for home made tobacco filled paper cones which made a talk on Urban Housing studies far more interesting!
The it stuck around because with a surname like Robinson, it kinda fits.
The '99' comes from the usual forum nonense of not being the first with that nickname and as I don't like being 'Smokey143' or 'Smokey 279' then '99' seemed like a more memorable number. :?
Fascinating eh!
I always used to refer to my brother as 'our kid' so my mates started calling me kidster
KavKav
First three letters of my surname, repeated in case you did not get it the first time!
Saggers is my surname and Saggs is my favourite nickname.
regards
Saggs (See)
Comes from a song by Kings of Leon. My favourite band until 14 year olds started to like them
I use this on all the poker sites I play on - you need an alias to stop people tracking you down to ask why the hell you called a raise with King4 and cracked their Aces :D
Unlike Boeingdriver, I am a frustrated pilot.
No disrespect to the 777, but IMHO, I think the -400 series 747 is the most stunning sub-sonic passenger carrier. So that'll explain the "-400" bit.
My surname if Findlay and I'm from Scotland. FINDO is short for Findlay and is also a jetway intersection south west of Perth, Scotland.(N56*22.15' W3*27.82'). :|
My name is Kat. The other part is aspirational.
Nickname from my first School at age 7 years and have been called Daz ever since.
