    Bravo!

i always look forward to reading your reviews when Eddie releases a new model. as much as i enjoy reading your observations and seeing the photos...the style, content, and composition are arguably the best part of the article (nothwithstanding the excellence of the watch). 8)

thanks for putting this together and posting it on the web.

Thanks for another great review. I'm wearing my PRS 22 as I type. It has become that "one" watch you reference. Although, I'm sure I will purchase many more from Timefactors.

    A most pleasing panegyric.

It certainly makes me feel all the more warm and fuzzy about my #26 :)

What a well written review! But I didn't want one of these until I read this review. Damn it, I hate when that happens. The Speedbird III is more money than I wanted to spend, but as you have pointed out, it's a bargain, so I should have bitten the bullet and bought it. And now I see, they are sold out. Damn it again. But Eddie's going to make more, but with a slightly different movement, no?

Maybe I could sell my two Speedbird II's in black and white face and pick up a brand new III. Anybody know what the II's are worth these days?

Anyway, nice work. The review was a bit long, but I felt I had to read the whole thing so I didn't miss anything. And even after the long long review, I wished the review had not ended!

Cool watch, cool review. And of course, my compliments to Eddie, for his good taste and more than reasonable pricing.

In case you haven't noticed, the new batch has already been available for a week or so... and if you're lacking funds, I can help you with those age-old SBII's, I hear they aren't worth much these days :blackeye:

    Re: Speedbird III review done

I have one of the new batch. Lovely.

Good review, interesting read; must have taken ages to write.
I'll take issue in two places. First, I still think the near obsession with blank dials is misplaced and good though the back of the watch is, great though it looks, I think 'Speedbird III' on the front would not have detracted from, well, any of it. Second, the date is, to me, too dark - grey ink on black? - and unreadable in all but the brightest daylight. It's there because lots of people wanted one but the 'real WISes' don't think dates are necessary. A black on white date wheel would simply have been the 6 marker made visible. As it is, the dial doesn't have one.

However, as I said at the top of this: it's still lovely. ;)

I love the date as it is. I don't find it a problem to read in all but the glummest conditions, and it's size, position and 'presence' in relation to the rest of the dial is for me, perfect.

Great review, although I feel you need to give some other watch a dreadful review for the sake of balance. Can anyone lend this man a Brietling?

    Re: Speedbird III review done

I've never really read a review on a watch on wondered how one might go about constructing an article on such things.

A well informed and interesting read.

    Thanks for sharing it. Chris.

Ewan Excellent review as always. As with many others here your review of the SB1 led me to timefactors a place I am glad I found (my wallet though is not so happy). I would like to thank you for using my pictures in this fine review it is an honor I will treasure.

Excellent review. Thanks. You even made the bracelet look attractive, which is a difficult thing to do with any bracelet.

    Best wishes,

Very nice review,, thanks for doing it :)

If there was one thing I would change about the SBIII, I wouldn't.

Fantastic review Ewan. Makes the pain of missing out on the 'first fifty' release because i was offline for a month either better, or worse, I'm not sure which.
