I think someone has put the grey over the bottom half of the insert to prevent us seeing it.

Red and therefore a Coke perhaps. I think the grey is a red herring.

Or maybe a Sprite with the crown on the right.

Can only agree ! I'm amazed there is (apparently) such a huge market for stuff like this.

In terms of aesthetics and practicality, Rolex have totally lost the plot in the last few years ...

You won't need any diving weights if you wear that. That really is the plot being well and truly lost.

But if you lived in the back streets of Birmingham and really wanted to show to the guys at the local working man’s club that you were top dog, then this is the kiddy for you.

Sod rich people in Monaco, snooty toffs down the smoke and footie pundits on the box this watch deserves to be out on the mean streets.

You could recover Tesco shopping trolley’s from the local shipping canal all day long in that thing.

Same so I'm looking at other related GMT literature on the site. So far can see BLNR Sprite, all the Black/Greys (2t, full gold, steel) and blue dial Pepsi presumably white gold. Can't see steel Pepsi anywhere.

Anyone seen if Starbucks Mk2 is still in catalogue? The Submariner configuration is crapped out.
EDIT: It's still in catalogue :-)

The BB58 GMT looks quite nice but that’s a lot of gilt

I rather like it. Performs the day/night function in an understated and less blingy way.

One out of two. 12.8mm for the Coke GMT. Not bad at all.

I'm liking the new monochromatic 41mm. A little thicker at 13.6mm

Basically watches for people who like Porsche 911s. The same old design over and over again with very minor differences.

Nice apart from the gilt, rivets and date window

The GMT is not too bad in my opinion
Better than the strangely coloured Red and Blue bezel (the blue always looks slightly purple to me) and a bit (small bit) more interesting than the standard black.
Brush the polished centre links or put it on a NATO and it could be a passable holiday watch.

    Good call!😀

When someone tries to tell you that that “the Batman is black/blue” you can correct them and point out that…

    Batman’s costume was black/grey, not black/blue.🤣👍

With a line up this underwhelming you have to think there's only so long they can simply rely on their marketing and brand power to keep up with the game. I'm not sure Gen Z has the same connection with the brand.

Rather than focussing on the ‘latest’ which

    a) you cant buy

    B) will be a silly premium for bragging rights (which no one cares about)

Then focus on the classics that already exist and are time tested

The grey GMT will probably look good in the flesh, less flashy than the pepsi.

    £45,700. Wow.

    I wouldn’t wear coloured gold and don’t have £45k!

    Deepsea dial

Have they moved the DEEPSEA text on the 'intense black' dial for 2024? Difficult to keep up with the minor dial variations, but I thought it was with the top two lines of text on previous/last year's model/s, and the back dial does look a bit different to me? It is now where the green DEEPSEA is on the JC dial.

So overall I think most agree that the releases this year are hugely underwhelming and maybe even slightly out of touch with mostly big ticket items being released.

A 45k gold skydweller with now a jubilee. These are already the models that people aren't buying as they are so expensive, I am not sure adding a jubilee is going to make it a want.

A new Day Date with expensive dial upgrade.

    Platinum 1908... £26.6k.

and of course a £45.7k Deepsea.

    Unbelievable.

Having said that, I think the slightly more subtle GMT is a nice option to have in the range. Suprised they went for the green GMT hand though like the old LN.

I think you're right. Not different enough to my 116710ln for me to look seriously though. Wonder what it'll do to values of the older black black black ceramic gmt?

Completely agree on all of this.

As for the green GMT hand, they're trying to market it as something to do with a 'connection to the land' or some other guff...I glazed over by that point of trying to read the marketing BS on the release page.

I’m guessing no big pay day for the Grey dealers, normally something is discontinued that allows them to bump their prices overnight. Apart from some new flashy models, not much sign of anything old and well loved being shown the door.

new releases by rolex & tudor....nothing amazes me. Quite boring really. What happened to new tudor big block chrono? Teething problems I'm thinking..
