    SOTC April 2024

I had a few batteries to change so while going through the boxes an ideal time for a SOTC post, photos are just quick and dirty so pretty poor but.......on top of this I have about 20 projects of all types but in the main Seiko and also a few that are boxed in another safe, again Seiko's.

My intention is to get down to ten or less but easier said than done but a few year back I was in the 400 mark but sold mainly at watch fairs, traded and given a lot away and sold some of my best to a friend so getting there slowly.

I tend to wear a Citizen Eco drive a lot these days as it looks good and its accurate, I have had a hankering for a SD/SD for some time but in reality I think it would be wasted on me but my son would be happy down the line :)

Thank you so much TigerUK, I have just shown your collection to my wife, who now understands that my own 30+ collection is woefully inadequate!

I love the Seiko Chronographs definitely my favourites. Overall a smashing collection

Is there a story to the personalised bezel insert in the third photo?

I have a square Seiko Nooka that would look good in that box.

    Do you have one??

That collection is running a little low TBH.

    :)

Not really I asked a guy to produce me another bezel insert I needed for a mod and he made the personalised ones for me at the same time.

I often toyed with picking one up but never did.

I need it to run a lot lower :)

Lovely John - very Seiko centric (as expected).

Great collection. What's the reason for the duplicates? Thanks for sharing

TBH mate I never wear it and it's gathering dust so I would have just sent you it for no cost.

But I have just looked on eBay and almost fell off my perch. :D

I might just list it now. :D

I was expecting more 6105 and 6309/6306 watches.
Hopefully you haven’t sold them all

I could never afford to just collect (if I could have my collection would be amazing :) ) I bought, sold, traded etc to be able to buy my next one and I think more fun than just being able to go out and buy what you wanted, for me the chase was often more enjoyable than the actual watch :)

I always show these SOTC posts to my wife to make her realise my interest in watches is moderate contrary to her views.

    Impressive collection ...
