RIP - Chris Cross (Ultravox)

I was sad to read that Chris Allen (Chris Cross), the bass player and keyboardist of Ultravox has died aged 71.

I first saw Ultravox in May 1984 at Manchester Apollo on the Set Movements tour, and have been a fan ever since.

It's been over ten years since their last tour, and now unlikely that we will see Ultravox on the road again.

Sad to hear that. Those early albums with John Foxx are extraordinary for their time.

Was that the tour that supported the 'Lament' album? I was at that gig as well! Very sad news indeed, original 'Tiger Lilly' member, instrumental (literally) in their success, a real pity!

Thats sad news, Ultravox were innovators back in the day. With John Foxx on vocals very new wave. I first saw them at Reading in 1978, brilliant musicians. Quiet man was one of my favs. RIP Chris

Sad, saw ultravox at the rock garden in Middlesbrough, 1977 I belive, many years later John fox at fibbers in York, I belive he's a lecturer in fine arts, may be wrong.
