    Watch recommendations.

Apologies for the “what watch” thread, but I’ve been asked by a mate for a watch recommendation for his wife to buy her father for his 60th.
Something classic in steel with a leather strap up to £500. Initially I was thinking a Hamilton Jazzmaster or something from Christopher Ward might fit the bill, but it turns out things have moved on a little price wise sine I last looked (around 7 or 8 years back)….
Does anyone have any recommendations?? I’m completely lost!!!

I think Hamilton is a good shout, the intramatic 38mm is about right if you can find a discount which is commonplace.

Tissot PRX auto. A tad over budget but maybe you could shop around.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. With a collection including multiple Omegas, Rolexes and Panerais, this may be my favourite watch. So understated and subtle. Really timeless elegance. A perfect '60s design.
    Cheers,
