Not today's photo, but I've been wearing this most of the week.

Fresh in from SC this week for me and I rather like it. It's not a revolutionary design, but it is an extremely well executed one that isn't a copy of anything else. The lume is superb, and I do like the on-the-fly clasp adjustment (first watch I've had with that).
Have you seen/tried a Helm Vanuatu? It always reminds me of one of those (not identical, but enough to catch my eye thinking it was one) and I wonder how they compare.

New in this week, courtesy of Heuerfan: a 1000-series “Jumbo”. I haven’t had one in years, and it was always the source of seller’s remorse, so it’s lovely to have one back in the collection.

There are some absolutely cracking watches out this week, what a lucky bunch we are. Have a brilliant weekend, everyone!

I don't know very much about this watch (bought on the forum) other than it has a 5012 movement (5100 variant). I assumed it was military (although no caseback marks to confirm that) because of the SAAF second hand, but there are also some commissioned by Philip Morris, and a Sinn version (?142)
If anyone knows anything more, I'd be interested. @Sweets - your area of expertise?

No, seen pictures only. The Helm is a fair bit bigger and chunkier looking, and the case profile is pretty different from what I can see. Design language of both in terms of dial/bezel is pretty related, looking at them, though. The Helm's hand remind me of those from the Sinn U1, though, which the Origin's do not.

(Jealous of the Caribbean, by the way. I really wanted one of those but just didn't have the cash at the time, and have never managed to have the funds when they show up on SC either.)

Absolutely brilliant little watch, first came out when I was on holiday so I missed the boat and I'd wrongly assumed they sold out, fast forward over a year and I saw they hadn't. Was lucky enough at recent opening to buy one.

Wow, I have just posted about this watch on the regrets thread without seeing this!

Can’t help, but glad it’s still on the forum. Would be interested in hearing more about it if anyone does know. (and if you ever move it on.)

Preparing for my return to work tomorrow. As a Watford fan commentating on L*ton for the 1st time ever in my career will not be fun.

Wearing a watch with a bit of yellow as a result. The closest we'll be to the Premier League for a long time!

Push the button and the second hand moves forward to give a rough indication of power reserve.
