Check when ordering they don't have 8mm flexis on them 'cos it'll throttle the water pressure.
We've had a Grohe kitchen tap with the pull out system since 2012 or so, and it's been completely trouble free and the pull out mechanisim is actually very useful.
We have this one from Villeroy & Boch - it's excellent. Water pressure increases significantly when you press the "spray" button.

Make washing up and cleaning up after washing up much easier
Had a couple over the years - never had any issues and useful for rinsing stuff. Don't have one now due to getting a boiling water tap (Fohen).

Another vote for Grohe...use the spray all the time...
Great for washing your plums in the sink.
And other fruit & veg.
We have a blanco one which was already in the house when we moved in and replaced it like for like when it broke.
I wish I had known this as the pressure on ours is abysmal and fails to trigger the central heating at times. Have had numerous plumbers out and none spotted this.Originally Posted by reggie747

Bigger. I'll assume you're on mains pressure (90% of the country probably are).
We have a Grohe Pull out tap wit separate water filter,nice bit of kit imho.
I think they look awful, - like an abattoir or restaurant kitchen.
When we spec-ed our new kitchen sink and a new sink in the pantry, we ordered zero of them.
Over styled and unnecessary in my opinion.
Well then.........good job we're all entitled to an opinion. It'd be $hit if we all had to have the same stuff in life wouldn't it ??

Our new kitchen install came with this type of tap, hot water flow pitiful, cold water on mains pressure fine but the hot comes from a hot water tank*- non combi boiler installed- tried an alternative tap but little difference, avoiding this on bathroom install in bathroom next month, found an alternative supplier with 15mm fittings, might redo kitchen.
*water pressure in shower, bath, and bathroom sink all good on 15mm pipe work, seems Europe use almost exclusively combi boilers and taps made to suit biggest market.

We added a salamander hot water pump as it was awful through the hot tap for a large sink. About £100 but tripled the flow, would still prefer more though.

We’ve had them and they are very useful (probably wouldn’t want to go back) but it does need tidy plumbing underneath (the weight connected to the hose will otherwise hit anything directly underneath - in my experience anyway)

Just something else to go wrong in my book.
You can get all the utility from one of those inexpensive tap adapter attachment thingies. I've bought them from Lakeland in the past, but even cheaper versions are available via eBay, Amazon etc.

Probably one of the most useful items I've ever bought for the kitchen, and if you end up moving house, you can just unscrew it and take it with you !

Yes, we have a water softener, a quooker & quooker descaler under the sink, my plumber had great fun getting it all to fit & still have the tap working.
I had a Vado Eli tap in a flat I bought. Loved it so much I have fitted three more in every house since then. Great for bigger sinks!!

Interesting. I had seen this but didn’t know if they were sufficiently durable.
I've been using them for 22 years and I'm still on my second one - pretty good durability I'd say.
I've had more taps go south than adaptors LOL

We just got a new kitchen and was talked into Quooker Flex. The pull out mechanism is very discreet and pretty useful. If you have the flex out of the tap there is a safety mechanism so the boiling water function is disabled. Clever kit. Expensive. But a footnote in the project spreadsheet !!
