    Case modification - any recommendations?

Do we know of any companies who specialise in case works or modification?

I'm looking to modify a stainless watch case by having its existing lug holes filled (laser welding?) and new ones drilled in a slightly different location.

Does anyone know where I might get something like this done?

    Thanks in advance!

Whereabouts are you? I’ve had this done by MyTime Watches in York; I’ve got another watch which I’ll have converted from fixed bars to drilled lugs and he’s advised me that he’ll be doing some similar casework in April, so I should contact him then. I believe it involves getting quite a lot of specialist machinery set up so it makes sense to do it all at once. Maybe worth a look.

Thanks for this. I’m down south but happy to send the case away. I will get in touch with them.

That’s a useful contact, thank you, noted!

Funnily enough it was looking at your lovely Stowa in SC that finally prompted me to ‘action’ this idea that I’ve had for a while now!

I’m in touch with MyWatches - I’ll feed back into the thread if anything happens.

My pleasure chaps, Gunter converted a nice vintage chrono of mine from fixed bars to pins and it was a perfect job.
