    PBP Monitor

So I've been thinking about improving my home office epxerience.

In essence, I have an ancient iMac which works perfectly well but is increasingly unsupported by common appiications.

I have a Macbook air M2 that essentially I want to replace it with, but ideally when in my office show its screen on a large monitor.

Desk space is limited and I currently have a 21inch monitor on my desk I use for work as well as the iMac.

So my thinking was get a PBP monitor, with the goal being firstly have a much larger monitor for work, with the added bonus I could use PBP mode at lunch for example so I can keep an eye on what's going on at work while checking the news/doing the Guardian crossword (!), and then in the evening when I am just browsing/watching iPlayer etc. switch the monitor over to the Macbook without any faff.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this, and is what I am thinking of going to work? Budget is limited so I'd be looking at something like this: https://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/ultrawide/34wr50qc-b/

    TIA

    PBP Monitor

I bought a dell 38 inch PBP ultra wide for near enough exactly what you described

In the end the dell is purely for work and I have two of these under it connected to my Mac mini

Useful for when you’re not allowed to use ChatGPT or Google Bard on a company device or just want to quickly google something
