Ireland looking powerful, France down to 14, idiotic from Willemse but Ireland dominating.
Too early to call this the Slam decider?

Didn’t see this first half coming. France were favourites but haven’t shown anything so far.
Still plenty of time to go.
Absolutely tremendous start!
France fight back to keep it to a try difference at the break.
Cracking match!
Any Zombie action ce soir?

Game on!
No chance I'm getting an early night's sleep!
That's the storm weathered, France really need to pull something special out of the bag now.
Ireland dominant be what a brilliant game. French looking worried but after that last second of the first anything could happen!
Another cracker. Ding dong
For this to keep being a rivalry England are really going to need to step up to the plate at some point.
Scotland victories a bit of a stick on these days.
God knows what Ireland will do with Englamd.
That was a great afternoon of rugby and I have to say I could not be happier at the results!
I hope tomorrows game is just as good
Irish maul and breakdown play is superb.
Was always going to be a cracker, good game. France were inconsistent, brilliant at times but couldn't keep it up.
I love the French game but that was a lesson in rugby by the Irish. Slaintè! Brilliant game.
a good start but against a poor france.
too early to get all worked up for me.
still the saxon foe to grind under foot (the only match we really give a toss about) not to mention the jocks with ther tails high for some reason at the mo.
got to love the taffs - someone has to ( lived ther for a long time - its a good place )
and the italians make a lovely place to eat at the end of the night.
game on!
I am genuinely at a loss at what England are trying to achieve.
I am sure the highly paid back room team have a clear goal but I am not sure the players understand it
They were so poor at the basics today it was unreal. They have been trying to force things for years now. There is no comfort /understanding / partnerships in that side, everyone seems to be wondering what the other players are going to do. Unless it’s rugby by numbers they are banjaxed.
Scotland were good but not great. Scotland were by far the better team though. Well done on a deserved win.
Ireland are in a different league
Was it the England coach interviewed at the end?
FFS! "we did win............... in theory" (paraphrasing)
Absolutely
Ireland,NZ and SA
Head and shoulders above the rest after France dismantled their team.
England flattered to deceive at the WC but watch how Ireland dismantle teams with power and England are a way off that standard.
Anyhow. Some Champagne at the restaurant tonight as you never know when the tables will turn again.

Well done England. Can't remember when I've enjoyed a game more. Showed some real grit, passion, somthing that's been lacking recently.
Fine display by England. First for a long time. Will it continue or be a flash in the pan?
Ireland were very poor and never really got going. England took that advantage.
What a finish.
Roll on next and final round.

A couple of brilliant games today. Both winning teams deserved their wins. Italy have really started to build confidence and England definitely played their hearts out. Marcus Smith drop goal was the icing on the cake.

What a result!
Absolute bilge from England. Lucky to flop over the line against Italy and being outscored 3 tries to 2
England Grand Slam this year? They are on course.
Maybe not......
Some signs of things yet to come from most of the England debutants though. There is hope.
A win is a win and all that. Very poor performance that won't matter if England do well this year, will matter of its an omen of things to come.
Loved watching kids interviewing Dafydd Jenkins just now, "do you think you'll be good enough to play for Porthcawl again?", "who's scarier? Gats or your mam?". Classic.
England were awful but Wales are dire.
No ideas, lacking in basic execution, no structure.
That was one of those rare games where both teams won!
Well done Scotland but equally well done -1 point Wales.
You could not make that up
It was an entertaining game!
Great comeback from Wales
Poor discipline from Scotland
Ireland were fantastic, champs again. France look lost without Dupont. England showed signs of change of intent but then the usual fear of failure kicked in and they reverted to type. Scotland lucky to hold on and poorly disciplined and it was refreshing hearing Russell avoid the usual platitudes and holding his team accountable. Wales yet again showed that you can never count them out of any 6N match despite the game being on its knees in the Principality. Plucky Italy to have a big wooden spoon decider in Cardiff last weekend.

Some interesting match ups this weekend. First things first, Ireland should steamroller Italy on Sunday but it will be interesting to see if Italy have improved or if England were just poor last week.
Tomorrow's games should be more evenly matched. Wales come to Twickenham probably smarting from their defeat to Scotland but also buoyed by their fightback. Tough game to call for me even though the bookies have England as huge favourites, I guess home advantage gives England the edge but they'll need to start well.
Murrayfield is never an easy place to go and I can see Scotland throwing the kitchen sink at France for the first 20 minutes. Whether France will bounce back from a poor showing against Ireland we will find out - clearly not having Dupont in the side has weakened them and I thought they looked quite one dimensional against an admittedly superb Ireland side last week.
Currently watching Wales v England from 1993 on bbc1.
How the refereeing has changed! Wales get over the line amidst a pile of bodies, ref instantly (and correctly) signals ball held up, play restarts without five minutes of slow motion replays from every possible angle while the officials upstairs make a decision. Sure mistakes were regularly made without the new technology and extra officials, but by God the game flowed better, I'd assume for the players but definitely for the viewing public.

How the devil can you say that was not grounded! The only way that wasn't grounded is if the ground wasn't there!
Indeed, this rule regarding the referees wording is ridiculous. If he can't make a decision on the field he can stand by and hands it over to the tmo's, then their decision should be the one that counts. He's effectively dismissed himself from the process in my view. I think Scotland can feel very aggrieved.
I shall disagree with the first part.
The ref is part of the game. Yes, he can make mistakes but it is his call that must stand.
The TMO is there to reverse evidenced mistakes. The wording is such that if they can’t evidence it, the ref’s initial decision must stand.
Having said that, yes, Scotland can feel aggrieved. But they wasted too many opportunities to put themselves in a position where the ref’s decision wouldn’t have mattered. THAT is what they should most feel aggrieved about.

'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
The TMO called it as grounded then probably thought, hang on, I’m Irish and this could work against my home nation so I’ll not tell the ref to change his mind.
Ref hears him call it grounded and runs from field without waiting.
A la Jubert of few years ago.
Ref standards are a mess.
Wrong call. Bad decision. Weak refereeing
All with impunity.

Strange 2nd half
I think Scotland lost it during the kick tennis, it’s almost as if they stopped playing.
Re the try. It’s the refs wording (stupid I know)
He said “on field decision was no try”. This means the the video ref has to have proof the ball is grounded and that did not exist. If there is any doubt it cannot be given.
This is coming from a proud Welshman, these tackle laws regarding height have got to be looked at.
No way did that English player deserve to be sin binned
It’s rugby ffs

England score vs Wales despite being down to 13 players!
2nd half will be key.
Clearly grounded. Ref and his team bottled that call completely. Robbed
