I always use Renata batteries however Seiko ones are also available.
Always buy from a reputable seller as I believe there are fakes about.
Where from. Some from that river sounding site, some from e**l bay. Buy the seller in both cases.
Hi,
I need the following batteries for some of my watches
SR927W x 2
SR621SW
Basically what brand would you recommend and where would you recommend buying from?
Thanks

Silver oxide rather than Alkaline too.
Cheers..

Mate of mine services military watches and has had many Seiko Gen1 and Gen2 Chrono's
through his hands. He once told me that he'd never seen a case of leakage from the seiko
batteries which were originally fitted to these watches. In some cases they'd been lying
around for years.

I use exclusively Seizaiken by Seiko Instruments: https://www.sii.co.jp/seizaiken/
Any dead battery will leak if left long enough in a watch!
Avoid cheap no- name batteries sold very cheaply, any of the branded separately packaged batteries should be OK. The key point is to get the battery out when it dies, don’t stick the watch in a drawer for a couple of years.
Cheap batteries can work out very expensive if you not careful/unlucky.
So far 20+ years I have always used Renata and to date never had or come across a leaker of this brand.
