Still considering whether to keep. Still has the stickers on the dial but looks quite nice in this image...

I love that! It’ll look and wear great on a nice rubber strap.

Still this. Gained 1 second in a week!

Took this pic a couple of days ago as it shows how incredibly legible it is in low-light conditions. The camera has made it look lighter than it was. Love it.

I’ve never noticed the Omega logo where the hands meet before! Is it etched on the underside of the glass?

    Thoroughly obscure, in summary!

It’s from a long established canvas goods firm in Kyoto (Ichizawa.co.jp). It’s made from the same heavy canvas as their bags and carry straps, and features a rather clever, if bulky, buckle. The canvas is thick, so overall it’s for bigger watches - and 20mm lugs; it balances the Planet Ocean nicely.

I know mate, don't think I can be accused of being a flipper

Just found Pinkwindmill's original sales post from May 2007, so nearly 17 years ago! What ever happened to Guy? He was a fairly prolific poster and then seemed to vanish.

    Cheers,

Ah! Found them. I see what you mean the buckle does look quite chunky and may not suit my smaller watches. Thanks

I picked up this cheap and cheerful Timex chrono from TK Maxx.

Quickset hour, and indiglo. Nice domed crystal, too.

Now on this for the evening. Light, crisp, beautifully made. Worth twice the RRP, or even three times IMO.

Thanks! I'll give that a go I think, just need a dark blue rubber strap to match the dial.

Thanks Gerrudd, it's often referred to as the 'deep blue' due to the dial colour and the reference is 166.073. They usually house a calibre 565 but this example has the chronometer rated cal. 564 for some reason.

Many years ago I was made redundant and decided to sell off most of my Omega collection to pay off my mortgage and support myself whilst retraining to become a watchmaker. One of the many difficult decisions was to sell either this watch or a Watchco Seamaster 300. I decided to sell the SM300 as I find the dial on the SM120 far more interesting.

    The two together.

    Cheers,
    Gary

Pelagos FXD MN on one of Nick Mankey’s new dive straps, truly wild combination - both day and night. I suspect that this (and my other strap on another watch) may among the first of these limited edition straps in the country.

Thank you it's a very late 1960's early 1970's watch. Identical to the one I was wearing when Lynn and I married. Sadly I no longer have my original one, but this one is a keeper, picked up from a fellow forum member.
    Best Regards - Peter
